Bushnell DOA 600 Riflescope
I received the riflescope in excellent condition and in a timely manner. The scope was "squared-up", mounted and bore-sighted by a certified gun smith. The scope was mounted on a 700 series Remington rifle (270 cal.). On the firing range (at 100 yds.) and using the prescribed "power setting", it took no time in adjusting (1/4" per click) the elevation and windage so that consistent groups of less then 2" were achieved. I particularly like the reticle, it allows for adjustments in target distance to be easily made.The lens caps on the scope were convenient and easily engaged. This rifle scope was a great value for the price and made my rifle "Dead on Accurate".

Very good scope at a very low price.
Pros: Bright, accurate, DOA really works.Cons:Included lens caps are cool but interfere with adjustments at both ends of scope and with rifle bolt. DOA only works on 12 power unless you remember or write down other settings.I'm not a real expert when it comes to rifle scopes and long-range shooting. The only other scope I've ever owned is a 3-9 Leupold goldring manufactured in 1982, although I've shot many others. I did a bit of testing when the scope first arrived and it definitely is brighter than the old Leupold in low-light conditions before sun-up. I really love the DOA sight. What prompted me to buy this scope is that I've been shooting with fellows with big rifles and tactical scopes who can hit a coffee can at 1200 yards (depending on favorable winds of course). We were going on an elk hunt where the shots would be between 400 and 1000 yards. We had two large guns in our group for long shots, but I wanted to be able to kill an elk out to 600 yards...

great scope, useful reticle,
on my hot loaded 30-06 rounds, savage 110.holds zero, still getting sub moa groups after 50 punishing rounds. bullet drop compensation is very close (did not shoot from a rest for these groups) however have not attempted beyond 200 yards yet.excellent clarity, clear at max magnification, if this truly hits out to 600 yds, then at 12x mag, it is underscoped. but at 200-300 yds, deadly accomplice on the rifle

Elite Scope Stands up to name
The Bushnell Elite 6500 DOA Scope is an excellent buy for the money. The scope was purchased for the rigors of my AR10 Rock River LAR-8 308 rifle. The Elite provided outstanding clarity and crisp bright lighting at all times of the day, including during subdued lighting at sunrise and sunset hours. The 6500 Elite is of higher quality and clarity than most scopes twice its price. I had the opportunity to test the DOA reticle tree for functionality and accuracy at three hundred yards, after dialing it in at the prescribed 100 yard range on 20 power. The reticle tree proved to be very usable and accurate. Of the 40 shots I took at this range, everyone struck within a four inch diameter of the bulls eye. One of the other shooters near by asked to look at my scope and his first words were, "Wow!, that's amazingly bright." Prior to purchasing the Elite 6500, my first experience with Bushnell was my purchase of a model 4200, which led me to a second Elite scope with a 50 objective...

Bushnell - More than a name
I bought the 2x16x42 DOA model. I am using this for PCP air rifles and purchased it for it's side focusing knob; minimum focusing distance and DOA reticle. And to a degree...the company's reputation. Though the DOA reticle is designed around average sized rack/antler widths, it is equally beneficial when set to be used for varmint hunting at distances appropriate for air rifles. The knobs, all of them, are smoooth from the get go. The targets remain focused when changing between magnifications. The sight picture is bright & 'wide open' thanks to the 30mm tube. I will be buying future scopes with the 30mm configuration. In part i purchased this scope because of its wide spectrum of magnification (2 x 16); something crucial to the airgun shooter. Sometimes your plinking at 50ft. other times 250ft.(or more). The smallish profile of the scope (42mm) was a particularly important requirement. I needed all the above with a size complimentary to lighter/smaller air rifles. This is...
