So very awesome soundtrack!
I can't believe all the tracks on this soundtrack, almost all of them are amazing. Excluding The Dirges version of "The Saints Are Coming", it sounds like they're all having seizures while performing the song. All of the other Dirges tracks are just as awesomes as the others, but their rendition of "Saints" plainly SUCKS. My favorite songs off the soundtrack are Crew Cut vs Poppa M (so motivating), Skyscraper Assult (or as the fans know it: the Techo-Chant remix ;-]), Line of Blood (gotta love it), Fake-bake Shake (also very motivating) and all of the tracks by Radiant-X. Basically the whole album is awesome, but I'm disappointed that The Dirges "Saints" track was on there instead of the original one by The Skids. Please everyone, purchase the soundtrack for the awesome music and to get Troy Duffy more money to do Boondock Saints III.

"That was one of the greatest examples of spiritual guidance I've ever witnessed"
This movie has been getting a lot of backlash from the fans of the first movie. People are saying that "It wasn't like the first one" or "It's ten years too late". I'm a fan of the first movie and I enjoyed this one immensely. Of course it isn't like the first one, but 10 years too late? Not to me. Duffy gave himself a decade to make a followup to the cult phenomenon and, well, 10 years later, he gave is possibly the greatest sequel to the first movie one could ask for.Returning to the roles of the insanely badass McManus brothers are Sean Flanery and Norman Reedus, and boy, do they do great here. Also, in place of the lovable Paul Smecker is Julie Benz as Eunice Bloom, a sexy, funny, and smart FBI agent, who, in her words, is "so f--kin' smart, she makes other smart people feel like they're retarded" (she stays true to her word!). And also, Billy Connolly as the daddy, Il Duce. But, in place of David Della Rocco is Clifton Collins Jr. as Romeo, a HILARIOUS Mexican dude,...

Product Description

From Troy Duffy, writer and director of The Boondock Saints, comes the much anticipated sequel to the tough, stylized cutting edge saga of the MacManus brothers (Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery). The two have been in deep hiding with their father, Il Duce (Billy Connolly), in the quiet valleys of Ireland, far removed from their former vigilante lives. When word comes that a beloved priest has been killed by sinister forces from deep within the mob, the brothers return to Boston to mount a violent and bloody crusade to bring justice to those responsible. With a new partner in crime (Clifton Collins Jr., Star Trek) and a sexy FBI operative (Julie Benz, TV's Dexter) hot on their trail...the Saints are back! Top to learn more

A cult phenomenon returns with The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. The vigilante MacManus brothers (Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus, reprising their roles from the first movie) have retired to Ireland, but a copycat killing of a Boston priest brings them back to dish out their unique brand of quasi-spiritual justice. The story line doesn't differ much from the first movie; the brothers have a new sidekick (Clifton Collins Jr., Capote) and a new pursuer, FBI agent Eunice Bloom (Julie Benz of Dexter, striving to take the place of Willem Dafoe from the original), but it's basically a series of shootouts in which the brothers pop up "unexpectedly" and blast a bunch of cartoonish criminals to pieces. The Boondock Saints was not a good movie, but it had a weird, unique energy--you couldn't tell if the movie took itself so seriously that it was ludicrous or if it was mocking itself while reveling in its absurd extravagances. All Saints Day has the same ridiculous swagger and baroque macho dialogue, but this time the spark is missing (with the exception of Collins, who brings all his dependable live-wire energy). Some cult fans will be disappointed, but others will still find things to enjoy. Also featuring Scottish comedian Billy Connolly (reprising his role as the elder MacManus), Judd Nelson (The Breakfast Club), and Peter Fonda (Easy Rider). --Bret Fetzer

Blu-ray: An enjoyable film and has more (and better) special features than its DVD counterpart!
In 2000, "The Boondock Saints" which was written and directed by Troy Duffy received a limited release in only five theaters in one week. Critically panned, one would think the film would fade to obscurity. But this was not the case. Similar to Kevin Smith's "Clerks", "The Boondock Saints" amassed a huge underground following and had become a cult film grossing $50 million in domestic video sales. The first film revolved around three Catholic Irish anti-heroes - Poppa (played by Bill Connolly) and his two fraternal twin sons Connor (played by Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (played by Norman Reedus) MacManus who are vigilantes that take on the Russian mafia with their way and their style of vigilante payback.A decade later, with the popularity of the first film, "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" is backed by Sony Pictures and given a nationwide theatrical release in 67 theaters and due to fan demand, more cities were added to the release. Once again,...

I have the OST’s for The Matrix, Donnie Darko, Boondock Saints & Boondock Saints II, The Devil’s Rejects, The Crow, Blade and Blade 2, Drive, Hackers is a lot more like listening to a score than a soundtrack due to the general similarity between... Zach Braff spent so much of the film’s budget on securing the rights to the music that he had to figure out unique ways to film it & edit it in order to make it work, but he knew how important that specific soundtrack was to his vision. It paid off since he won the Best Soundtrack Album Grammy in 2005 for it. It’s also one of my favorites in my collection. However I still think it’s a well-produced score and worth listening to. If it costs as much as most CDs do nowadays I don’t know if I’d want to buy it. though I might buy a few tracks off of iTunes or Amazon.         “Saints Row The Third”           2:47. ” It is distributed by Sumthing Else Music Works in collaboration with Saints Row: The Third         “The Mission Part 2″               3:09.

Comment: Thanks to The Boondock Saints II, we got a soundtrack for the amazing music heard on the first and the second film. And gladly there was a soundtrack available for that film.
