Affordable and works like a charm
Just got this puppy and am very happy with it. It's so small but does so much. I plugged it into an older PC and it "plugged and played" right of the bat (I run WindowsXP Pro). Also it is very fast, faster than the CD-RW in my Sony Viao. With the right CD burning software I used it to burn a folder of 50 MP3s onto a CD-RW disk and it was very quick! Even though my older PC has USB 1.0 it was still fast.My only negative is that it comes with two USB cords, one for data and one for power. I only have four USB ports so I have to do some wire switching to use it, then switch back.I really appreciate a product that works right out of the box!

Plug it 2X !
* Driver installation not needed. I have a GateWay running Windows XP and a Dell on Vista, both of which recognized this burner instantly.* Power supply not necessary, but do keep in mind that you must use 2 USB cables for this device to work properly. One cable is dedicated for power, the other cable for data. So in a way, it's not truly "plug and play". More like plug-plug-play. :)

A really great deal!
These cases are durable and colorful! None of that dull black or transparent stuff. They're made from the company that makes the best CD-Rs, Verbatim. Definitely snag the 100pk of the ValueLife CD-Rs. They're great because they have no logos or typing on the front of the Disc. So, if you want to make labels, there's no risk of anything showing through. Plus, the CDs are of such high quality. I've never had a problem with any of them and I've purchased at least 300 Verbatims by now. If you're looking for the 100pk, I recommended it in addition to this product above. Don't clutter up your CD rack with bulky, brittle, and dull jewel cases. Use these!

Scotch brand Laser Lens Cleaner
I only purchase this brand now. I have tried other brands of laser lens cleaners and this is by far the best one. It is also one of the least expensive. It works in my DVD burners (unlike the Memorex brand) and my DVD players as well as all my CD players. It has ceased errors on all of them whenever needed.

Does a great job of cleaning
I had a CD player that wouldn't recognize any disks and a DVD player that would play but wouldn't allow any FF or Rewinding. I used this laser lens cleaner on both machines, and now, they work like new. It's amazing how something that costs under $10 saved me over $200 in stereo replacement costs.

Just works better.
I have used the free installer that came with a CD label Kit -- a round button that clips on the holder after you have put the disc being labeled on it, but the labels didn't always center. I decided to buy this one separately, and it really is better -- far easier to work with, and centers the labels perfectly every time (as long as you remember to put the label on first, upside down, and then press the disc face down on it). It's a small thing, but really is an improvement over the free ones.

Low cost, low tech, highly functional.
This product amounts to little more than a low-tech press, but the results are fantastic. I use it to apply glossy, hub-printable labels to dual layer disks since they're not readily available in the inkjet hub printable format off the shelf. The pin in that hold the disk in place is well molded and the perfect size, leaving no lateral play. The labels ALWAYS come out perfectly straight, never off-center. I use a the blank plastic "CD" that comes in spindle packs of CDs and DVDs to press any bubbles out, works great.I highly recommend this product even to those like myself who have CD/DVD printers. It comes in very handy for formats that aren't readily available with an inkjet printable surface. I apply the blank label first and then print the disk in my Canon ip4200 CD/DVD printer. The results are just as good as the prelableled inkjet printable disks, as long as you make sure to work out any bubbles first.This product is simple yet functional and an excellent value for...

i've had no problems burning dvds. very convenient
i used to have nero. nero is probably a little better but costs much more. i'm able to burn dvds no problem. when i insert into my laptop a dvd that i want to burn a window pops up asking me if i want to burn it using roxio. i say yes, then a little roxio window pops up, then i press read. when it's done reading my dvd it opens my dvd drive and asks me to insert a blank dvd. when in insert it, it starts to burn the image to the blank dvd. i can't say whether it will burn all dvds with copyright protection but it will burn dvds with copyright protection at least some of the time. otherwise, use dvd shrink to create an image and then use roxio to burn the image to a blank dvd.my only complaint is that i wasn't able to burn home videos (avi format) to dvd; whereas, i remember nero was.

Good Product - Poor communication with manufacturer
Roxio Easy CD&DVD burning software came pre-installed on my computer when I purchased it three or so years ago. Lately the software developed an annoying glitch which probably could have been resolved had it been possible to uninstall and reinstall the program. This couldn't be done of course because no disc had been provided with the computer (a Dell, by the way). I shopped around and Amazon had the best price so I ordered new software. I wasn't unhappy with the way the Roxio program worked, so I decided to go with it again. It arrived on time in good condition. Once loaded, I was surprised to find a lot of "goodies" had been installed with the basic program. One of them was "Photoshow" which I tried and liked. After attempting to email a test Photoshow to friends, I found that it didn't work properly (the email didn't go anywhere). So I did an online chat with a representative to try resolving the problem. It could not be resolved at that time, so I was put on indefinite hold...
