Great Game. Not Durable
I love Connect 4. I loved playing when I was a child, and now that I'm a parent I love playing with my children. Sometimes we even get crazy and play Connect 3, or Connect 5.Connect 4 is a classic game that is sure to be popular for years to come. It is a strategy game played in a non-traditional vertical style with players alternating turns hoping to connect 4 checkers either in a straight line, or diagonally. It is extremely easy to learn, and plays in under 5 minutes. With Connect 4 you can have a lot of fun in 30 minutes.The only problem with the game that I have is it's cheap plastic construction. It isn't durable at all. I wish there was a sturdier alternative available. I would pay extra money for it. In any case, do not let the less than perfect durability factor prevent you from owning and enjoying Connect 4.

Whenever it was not possible to go outside for recess during my grade-school days (I'm a college sophomore now), there were many games that we would play indoors to pass the time.Some kids drew on the blackboard. Other kids just got together in groups and talked. And then there were kids like me that played Connect Four.Connect Four is extremely habit-forming because you get totally engaged in the game-play. It takes skill, a little bit of luck, and a decent amount of humor to play. We would have Connect Four tournaments all the time in grade school, and they would get pretty competitive sometimes!Fun: This game is one of the best out there. A great game for kids and adults
I work for an after school program in an elementary school and all of the kids love this game. They get frustrated if they lose too much but that goes without saying. But they learn a lot of strategies while playing, how to set it up so they win from both sides and gradually they learn to actually think of a strategy ahead of time. The Kindergarteners and 1st graders aren't that great but the second through fourth graders get to be pretty good. Our program has over 40 kids and we had to get a second one because it's a favorite among them. It also comes with rules on how to play different versions which I'm not use to so don't do but it can be fun and a new craze is playing butterfly which is when they are allowed to put two pieces in a once. Overall an amazing thinking game and lots of fun, I would def. recommend it.

Has a new twist on an old game
Comes with a new twist--you can pop out your own checker at the bottom, then all the checkers in the column drop down one notch. This adds a new way to win. I ordered this version by mistake, but we ended up keeping it anyway because of this new twist. We enjoy playing it with our other variations of Connect Four.

A Family Classic!
Been a favorite in our family for years. It builds great strategy skills and provides hours of entertainment for all ages on those rainy days or long evenings. Bought this updated version for nostalgic reasons. The kids still love it! Only disappointment is that the bottom bar sometimes tends to shift in the middle of the game and the checkers slide down. You have to start over again. Kinda frustrating when you've got a good grudge match going. But still a family favorite and always will be.

Fun but Flimsy!
We have enjoyed playing Connect Four Fun on the Run, but it's flimsy construction. The collection trays pop off repeatedly. In addition, the columns that store the checkers have lids that snap shut presumably to keep the checkers in place, but they continually pop off as well leaving checkers scattered in the box. The checkers are small, and are easy to lose. Hasbro doesn't offer replacements for the checkers, so you really have to be careful when playing. On the other hand, the price is so reasonable, it's entertaining, and I think instead of buying a duplicate I would buy the travel folio version with zip-up pouch.Overall, I recommend this toy, but strongly suggest the game be stored in a plastic bag, as it doesn't hold up well to the bumps and bruises of travel with the trays, and lids popping off, and the checkers rolling all over the box.

Great game - worth taking on trips.
This is a good game with plenty of re-play value. The travel addition is small and light and helps with long plane trips. I could quibble... the quality of the unit isn't great - it can be hard to get the pieces out after a game and the little pieces are small and hard to handle and can get lost. But why quibble? It's small and light and cheap and FUN.
