Good Family Fun
As a co-owner of a daycare, and being male, I was really interested in catching this movie.First of all, the kids are really cute. Especially the kid who plays Ben, Eddie Murphy's "son". But the entire cast of kids did a fantastic job.I love Eddie Murphy so I wasn't surprised to be entertained by his antics (he has the best facial expressions in everything he does, very likeable). But I also wanted to applaud Steve Zhan who did fantastic as a Star Trek geek. I guess he stood out for me because he reminded me so much of myself especially when around fellow Trekkies. As a daycare provider, I did find some things entertaining. I've heard the horror stories from parents looking for a daycare, so the scene of Ben's parents trying to find a new daycare was quite funny. The scenes of the house being destroyed... oh, there is no way around that with a group of kids. You've got the inspector who we need to deal with on a regular basis (of course, we had to pass...

GOOD CLEAN FUN!
My friend brought this over for us to watch and my husband gave me the "look" as he slowly settled down to watch.I could hear him groan, "Oh no! How long is this movie? It's about what?", but by the end of the showing even he was smiling. Eddie Murphy does an excellent job of playing Charlie, a man who lost his job when his 'Veggie-O" cereal line did not make the production line. After being dismissed he and his friend Phil decide they will open a Day Care Center! Ah.......now the fun begins as the Dad's take on the everyday antics of the little ones and the wrath of one Mrs. Harridan, owner of a more 'uptown' Day Care Center that seems to be losing it's student to "Daddy Day Care."Angelica Huston, who plays the part of Mrs. Harridan, does an outstanding job as the villian in this flick. There were quite a few chuckles from many scenes in this movie and the children were absolutely adorable! Reminded me a little of the movie "Three Men and A Baby", only this was...

Great comedy, but.....
One of the best comedies on TV. The only reason I gave it a 3 star is because it is going to the GOD/Jesus jokes a little to soon. How is it that there are many religon's out there, but they only make fun of the Christians? It really bothers me! Stay away from GOD/Jesus there has to be more in this world to make fun of or joke around with. Also, be very carefull this is the same guy who makes Family Guy and sells in Volumes NOT seasons. Look on Amazon and you will see you are not getting all the episodes!

Affirming Challenge for Dads
The 21 Day Dads Challenge is a must read book for dads. Most books I read about men or dads tends to point out all the things we are not doing or should be doing and not affirming all the things we are doing. This book affirmed in me the father I desire to be.Carey Casey, Tony Dungy, Jim Daly, Randy Alcorn, Chip Ingram, Josh McDowell, Shaun Alexander and many others contributed to this book. Most of the content is new (not regurgitated from other books) and each of these great dads provide such unique perspectives in their own fathering journeys. The reading was easy (15-20 minutes), chapters are short and at the end of each chapter were some practical suggestions in how to live it out. I also loved the QR Codes placed throughout the book that give you some additional short video content.I know I will find myself going back and back to this book for additional suggestions in how to be a better dad even after the 21 Day Challenge is over.Get it. You...

Great book for dads
First let me say that I'm a mom, not a dad. My husband is currently reading this and enjoying it. But even though it is supposed to be for dads, I really enjoyed it myself. The author mixes stories and humor with each chapter to make it fun to read. After each chapter is a challenge and a plan. It gives suggestions and ideas on how to implement the topic into your life with your children. There is also symbol you can use with your smart phone to watch a video. If you don't have a smart phone the link to the youtube video is provided. This is definitely a book that I would recommend to all dads. It's a quick read each day that will change your relationship with your children.I received this book free of charge from Tyndale in exchange for my honest review.

A Challenge to be a Better Father
I'm still relatively new to the whole father game. Our little one just crossed the 18-month threshold and I've only just come to appreciate that I'm not yet the kind of father I want him to have. I realize that I need to intentionally strive to become the father I want to be.These thoughts were swimming in the back of my mind as I sat down with "The 21-Day Dad's Challenge." What I wasn't thinking about was who wrote it. Discovering that Carey Casey was both the editor and a contributing writer was a joy. (It was also a delight to see that his son Marcellus authored a chapter as well.)I was excited about this discovery for a couple of reasons. First, I worked with Carey, his wife and their daughters over the course of two summers in the National Camp Office of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. As an avid book-lover, it's hard not to be excited when you pick up a title by someone you know. The second reason is that during my time with FCA, I had the privilege...

Spend some time with Clifford and his dad.
Everybody loves Clifford the Big Red Dog, and in this edition of the popular Scholastic series, Clifford goes to visit his father in the country. This is a fairly typical Clifford book, with an easily understood story and pictures, but two things make this book exceptional. The first is that it shows that Clifford and his father live apart, but that Clifford misses his dad very much and wants to be with him. The second is that it shows the differences between father and son, since Clifford's dad is an ordinary dog of regular size who doesn't look like him at all. There are underlying lessons here for children of divorced/separated dads or adopted dads, not to mention a starting point for a discussion with any child of growing up and leaving home. That's quite an accomplishment for such a small book!

Clifford Visits His (Much Smaller) Father
"Clifford has a father, too, but his father lives far away in the country. Sometimes, Clifford misses his Dad. Last year on my father's birthday, Clifford did something surprising. He ran off in the middle of the party!" --From the book Clifford's Day With Dad is a story about Clifford visiting his father who lives far away in the country. Even though Clifford is much, much larger than his Dad, his father still thinks of him as the little puppy he loved so much. This book shows the many things that Clifford's Dad taught him in his formative years, including how to fetch, dig a hole, rummage through the trash to find interesting stuff, and chase motorcycles. Because Clifford is so huge, when he attempts these acts, the results are pretty disruptive...but amusing. For example, while his Dad digs a small hole, Clifford ends up digging a large hole that tunnels under the road! While his Dad rummages through the trash, Clifford gets the idea that it's...

Dad sits here all day and never says a word to me at all. I don't see how when it is gonna be ib the 40's or higher for at least 3 days. hehe, it sure beats the low 20's we have had the past 3 days with the wind chill in the teens if not singel digits. I try to wait for them to come out in paperback, but the the only ones I can find are the ones that are the bigger paperback ones, you know the ones they still want like $14 for. I still need his last one, the last 2 WMC ones and I think I need about 3 Alex Cross ones. He writes like 5 a year now, or the other people do and he takes credit for it. Well I finished that book, Secondary Targets, it was good but dang it, it leaves ya kind of hanging at the end cause it leaves out one of the bad guys who you know... SO that means he'll probably write another book and I'll just have to BUY that one. Dad went in town and just bought a very few things at the store, of course he didn't get the coffee filters AGAIN so we are almost out. I bet dad has been in town 4 or 5 times in the past week which is not like him at all but he never ask if I want to ride along to just to get out of here. I don't think we have any plans for today unless dad wants to go to the store. I might even go in and take a shower if Talen is feeling okay and I can leave him with dad long enough. I got dad to eat tonight at 6 so that was a good thing. Okay now I remember, I have read the first Private but I didn't know there was a second one to it. So Private Games is or isn't part of that series. When all I worry about is "did I send my friends some dumb credits for games on FB" then you know I am in really big trouble here. Well I guess I'll get my FB stuff done before he gets here.
