Rarely does a book's title reflect accurately on its contents, as does Phillip Porter's "Jaguar E-type, The definitive history". One's initial impression is of physical presence, for this is a massive work in all respects. Leafing through the book for the first time, one is immediately struck by a sense of awe that this could possibly represent the work of one man. There can be no doubt this is Porter's legacy, for which he laboured long and hard and gave much of himself. The foreword is written by sportsman Briggs Cunningham, hinting that the car's racing heritage will figure prominently within. This is indeed the case, for fully a third of the content is dedicated to competition. The greater volume of the book, however, deals with the production car, against an historical timeline that begins with its evolution and conception and extends, rather than ends, with the E-type as it continues to exist today. Phillip Porter's reference on the Jaguar E-Type that other authors cite as their source. This is a must read if you are at all interested in E-Types. Some of it may not be too flattering to Sir Wm Lyons or Jaguar but it tells the story as only an insider could. Amazing
This is a personal favorite, the Series 1 Jaguar E-Type is my favorite car, and my son loves the Aston Martin DB5 (the James Bond connection); seeing these two cars face off was amazing pleasure. The show opens with James driving a Nissan Murano around some very rich neighborhood in England. In 2005, this was to be a very limited edition car in England and it looked great over there. Hard to imagine what it looks like in England, there are just so darn many of them and their clones all over the US. The news segment had more US bashing, and Richard declared that the new Citroen C5 as an amazing luxury car. Then they moved to the main event track comparison of the E-Type and DB5. The Stig ends up driving a stock DB5 and a modified Series 1 E-Type. The results are depressing. Irrespective of anything they would say, those are two of the most magnificent cars ever manufactured. When I first got my Dirt Devil Vacuum I ordered these bags by mistake instead of the "Microfresh" Dirt Devil Bags. These bags are cheaper than the "Microfresh" bags but they are more porous and do not contain small particles as well. For most people its probably worth the extra money to buy the "Microfresh" bags. These bags would be good to use if you just got new carpet and want some cheap bags to pick up all the shedding of fibers.

No complaints, streaks, or squeaks!
I ordered the Bosch 19" and 21" wipers for my 2002 Honda Civic as a part of a Buy One Bosch Blade Get One Free [...]. I probably would've never considered trying Bosch windshield blades otherwise, but I'm so happy I did. With my previous blades that I got during an oil change at a quick-lube shop, I got a lot of streaking and squeaking whenever I used them. Every time I encountered a rain storm, I had to abide the same consistent, annoying noise if I didn't want to compromise my own safety. It was very difficult to bear. Even after I pulled the trigger on buying the blades, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to install them on my car because of my lack of automotive know-how. When they came, however, my worries went away. The Bosch blade package showed me how to remove my old blades and how to install the new ones. It was a piece of cake. The only problem? They came individually in two separate boxes that were HUGE. What a waste of packing material,...

Terrific wipers in combination with RainX
Most new cars come with spring-less wipers from the manufacturer. If that's the case I don't think this makes much sense to get these. If you have an older model car that uses spring-loaded wipers that doesn't do much more than smudging water back-and-forth on your windshield, these wipers are a substantial upgrade. I first bought them for my 2001 RAV4 and replaced only one wiper just to compare side-by-side and it's like seeing half the windshield is squeaky-clean and the other half feels like looking through someone else's eyeglass. The difference is so dramatic you don't need to have the results side-by-side to know there's a huge difference. After that I bought a pair for my 2005 S2000 as well. Same great results compared against the factory spring-loaded wipers. In combination with applying RainX to the windshield, the result is very similar a brand new car off the dealer's lot. So far so good
I've had these about 2 weeks on a Chevy Tahoe and they work great, the only problem is that the passenger-side blade lacks enough "spring" to follow the contour of the windshield, leaving the outermost 2 inches of the blade with virtually no contact with the glass. I'm hoping that as they age a little the rubber wiper will settle in and lower itslef closer to the glass, but who knows...

Oops I bought the wrong box
This box is intended for a type S Alpine 12. (or similar spec speaker) I have a type R and the air volume of this box is too small for it and the port tuning is wrong. It did not sound very good with a type R. I will give it a thumbs up for the quality construction. I wish I could give a more favorable review. I am not saying this box is bad. It was designed for a type S and I'm sure it would sound great loaded with one judging by the high build quality and specs. (EDIT 2 WEEKS LATER)The Alpine Type R recommends a 1.9 cubic ft. (ported) box. This is only 1.3. The full range of bass was not heard with my 2010 Type R. I replaced it with this... [...] More even, linear output with less power-all bass notes come through evenly.
