They say nothing rhymes with Orange... but what about PWNage!? I guess that doesn't either. But it should! This game rocks!Team Fortress 2 is worth the price of admission for this instant classic collection. The team play is deep and instant. You really find people pairing up as medic and heavy to mow down a field of scouts and engineer turrets. Or people switching classes to fill in a defensive gap. THe healer class is greta fun as is the support engineer. They game is very well balanced with each class able to counter another.The voice acting is hilarious and the charater models are gorgeous. This game will be played years to come, as the graphics are so highly stylized they will age with grace. The depth of each player class and the differing play modes make for a truly engrossing experience. Great Collection To Those New to Half Life 2
The Orange Box and its games have gotten over a hundred rewards, and for good reason. Considering that the collection is now on Amazon for $30, I highly recommend that you get this collection ifA) You're a fan of FPS gameplayB) You don't already have the gamesHalf Life 2, by and large, is a great game. The story is great, the action intense, and it definitely has plenty of great moments. If you're skeptical, I suggest downloading the Half Life 2 demo and trying the game out.Graphically, there's not much to complain about. Great package for those who are new to HL2
Okay, so I'll admit to being one of the five people that hasn't even touched Half Life 2 until now. I did play through the original Half Life, and its difficulty (especially in the later stages) was a bit of a turn-off. Personally, I think that when the game practically necessitates cheating to complete it, it's a bit too much. That said, seeing this bundle on the store shelf was a bit too good of a deal to pass up, so I picked it up.First impressions on the game design- the physics is more heavily involved in gameplay than in any other shooter before or since. In fact, in many cases the gameplay seems to FOCUS on the physics, not on killing enemies. To underscore this, you can actually finish most of the game with only the gravity gun, which (except in rare cases) can't kill anything directly but can pick up objects to throw at enemies. Very basic, but well written
I just love this book. It explained things clearly and was just what I needed to start modding. I never made any mod before, so I was a complete noob to this subject. And if you want to benefit from this book, you better be a noob too. The book explains the very basics of modding, you will not learn modelling, programing nor you will work with 3rd party (yours) models and props. You will learn simple map creation and texturing (using half life 2 native textures). So, if you need to know how to start modding - this book will deliver. If you can make your own basic rooms but need to optimize them, this book is for you too. However, if you can make your own basic optimized room, there's not much for you in this book.

AWESOME!!!!!
I am a big fan of the SAW movies, so i just had to get this as soon as i saw it. the shipping was very fast, it only took 2 days to get to my house. Also it was just in time for Christmas. This thing is very cool and its more cute than scary, but its more a collectiable than an action figure. You can pose it in many different ways. If your a fan of SAW, this is perfect for you!!!!! Pretty cool for displaying
I love the Saw series. It's both smart and disturbing. I love Billy the puppet. He's so cool. I just had to get this to add to my horror collection. The best thing about it, is the legs are bendable so you can pose it as if he were sitting down. Thats how he is on my shelf :).OVERALL=It's a must for SAW fans...Don't miss out!!!

Patience = Fun.
If you've played the original Counter Strike than you will know what I'm talking about in this review. If you are looking at this game than you already know that it's online only which means that you are really only going to be playing against other people. When you start out, these people are going to be leagues ahead of you in terms of skill.I'm saying that you're bad at video games or FPSs (first person shooters), but you aren't going to be used to the way this game plays. Everyone else playing is going to already have memorized each map, how each gun fires, and they're going to know where you are. So while you're just trying to figure out how to use your flashlight properly you're also being hunted down. This can annoy and deter many people from enjoying this game. When "Quadrophenia" first came out in 1979, I think most people were expecting a "Tommy"-like rock opera, with music by The Who blasting from the speakers and Roger Daltry playing pinball adorned in a mask. Much to most people's surprise, "Quadrophenia" is a story about teen angst in England, with background music by The Who. The story is the key, and "Quadrophenia" details the historic Mod/Rocker riots of the 1960s. Brilliant look at the brink between adolescence & adulthood
This film deserves to be in the pantheon of classic teen angst films (though it will really speak to adults reflecting on their years more so than it will for teens). I think it's the best film I've ever seen in that genre (and is based on probably the best album that ever covered such ground). There is real grit to the film, real emotion and pathos (but also a teriffic sense of humor). The cast is also outstanding (why Phil Daniels didn't become a big star is anybody's guess). But add to this the knockout soundtrack (from the "Quadrophenia" LP and other radio hits of the 60s), and you practically have a perfect film (I'm always hesitant to say anything is truly perfect). But I wouldn't change anything here. It is an unqualified success. It helps to understand the milieu of the film, so read up here on the mods and rockers so that you understand the time and place. One of the best rock films to date
Very few movies based on rock albums are ever any good. "Quadrophenia" is the exception to this theory. Considering the relative inexperience of cast and crew alike, the producers have pulled off the unexpected: a rock film that doesn't bow down to the egos of the rock stars; a low budget, anti-special effect film; a teen film that doesn't condescend to the teens in the film and the audience; and, ultimately, a script that is not dictated to by the songs on the album. In fact several key songs from the album aren't even in the film--not the least of which is "The Punk Versus The Godfather".What I enjoyed about the film, also, was that it doesn't just portray the working-class teen as a malcontent who can't identify with anything. Incredibly unique, and very polished
One thing the first-person shooter genre has been tending towards in the last few years is an emphasis on gritty, realistic (or at least semi-realistic) gunplay. This is not a universally-loved proposition. Take a look at two screenshots from two different shooters, and chances are that if you aren't already an avid fan of the genre, you will not be able to tell them apart. The status quo is rather displeasing - but who better to shake it up than Valve Software, who have already revitalized the genre twice with the 1998 hit Half-Life and its 2004 sequel? The game is very well balanced with 9 classes with unique abilities and weaknesses. Valve continues to update and add more maps all the time. The animation and voice over work will have you chuckling as you intensely battle for intelligence and capture points. Be aware that this game is only for online play, and has no single player. Free to Play
When I initially wrote my review, I wasn't aware of the differences between free-to-play and the retail version. Someone commented that the retail version allows you to have a larger backpack and to trade items with others whereas the free version does not. Had the free option been available when I bought the game, I probably would have opted for the free version.All in all, this game is super fun and highly addicting. If there is any question in your mind about if it's worth it, just download it from Steam and try it out for free. If you get to the point where you need the trading, bigger backpack, then purchase the retail version from Amazon ($10 cheaper than Steam last time I checked).

Gameplay
Built around multiplayer battles of two teams, Reliable Excavation Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU), representing competing construction teams, players choose between two game modes: capture the flag (CTF) and a control point mode. In CTF the objective is to obtain a briefcase of intelligence from the enemy team's base and return it to their own base while preventing the opposing team from doing the same. In the control point mode the objective is similar, only related to holding particular territories. To be successful in either the most important thing is to understand and use each character class in the best way possible.

A Game That's a Class Operation
Unlike other "class-based" games that offer a variety of combat classes only, Team Fortress 2 features a wide variety of classes which provide a broad range of tactical abilities and personalities, and lend themselves to a variety of player skills. All nine playable character classes from the original game are available and although a few of these, like the Medic and Heavy generally work well with any mix of characters, overall each have particular strengths in offensive, defensive and support capacities. Each also will respond dynamically with different comical dialogue when in combat.

The full character classes include:

Pyro - An offensive class with average damage tolerance, Pyros are armed with a flamethrower, shotgun and a fire axe.
Engineer - A defensive class with a low threshold for damage, Engineers can upgrade weapons and equipment and are armed with a shotgun, a pistol and a wrench.
Spy - Used for sabotage the Spy carries a revolver, a butterfly knife, an electronic zapper and a diguise kit.
Heavy - Tough on offense and defense the Heavy's weapons are the minigun, the shotgun and his fists.
Sniper - A support class with low damage tolerance, the Sniper is armed with a sniper rifle, a submachine gun and a machete.
Scout - The Scout is fast but susceptible to damage. His weapons are a sawed off shotgun, a pistol and a baseball bat.
Soldier - A slow, but a powerful offensive class, the soldier wields a rocket launcher, a shotgun and a spade.
Demoman - A defense class with an average amount of protection, the Demoman is armed with a remotely detonated sticky bomb and a bottle of Scotch.
Medic - Medics keep other characters alive and are armed with a healing 'medigun,' a syringe-firing launcher and a bone saw.

The importance of the abilities of particular classes aside, far and away the dominant factor in Team Fortress 2 and the secret to its popularity, is its clear dedication to fun. This is seen in its rejection of realism in favor of cartoon-style art in the game's graphics, the inclusion of super weapons like lasers and missile launchers hidden within the six standard maps and the attention given to each character's incidental trash talking functionality. Combined, these simply make for fast-paced, over-the-top fun which are the building blocks of any multiplayer shooter.

People ask me - how is it possible to cheat in Garry’s Mod. Banning people from other servers, using a system that is probably unreliable, and the fact that you are not using the VAC system, that all the players have said yes to, that they will not hack. Since cheating is obviously wrong - so those cheating obviously knew what they were doing was wrong - I have decided to be harsh. Once you’re detected and you’re on the list then you’re banned from all servers (unless they remove the cheaters. VAC works great for other games - but it can’t easily detect Lua hacks in GMod - because they look pretty much like GMod’s own code. Is also a violation, if the players on that list have been tagged as a “non hacker” on in VAC.
