Essential guiding principles for business
Full disclosure, I know the publisher of this book. I also worked at Apple for nearly a decade, creating marketing for Mac computers, and I can tell you that the quotes in "I, Steve" encapsulate everything I learned while I was there: Paying attention to little details (because they matter). Relentless simplification. Knowing what to say 'no' to. These principles can apply to many aspects of business and reading them in Steve's words are an excellent reminder that we don't have to settle for mediocrity. This is not a biography, nor is it an exploitation of the man's death, as this book has been scheduled for publication for many months now. This book is an essential tool for how to think about the problems you wrestle with at work. Bring a copy to your office. Start off every meeting reading a random quote. See what happens.

A quick, fun trip through one of the greatest minds of our time.
What a fun and interesting book about Steve Jobs, a more breezy counterpoint to the official biography. I, Steve starts with a light biography and highlights "Milestones," a year-by-year look at Apple's (and Jobs's) successes. The real meat of the book is in the quotes from Jobs on every conceivable topic, sort of a Bartlett's Quotations focusing exclusively on this amazing man.Steve Jobs once said that most overnight successes take a long time. I, Steve feels meticulously researched and well put-together. At once educational and inspiration, I, Steve is perfect for both MacAddicts and anyone looking to exceed.

"I, Steve: Steve Jobs in His Own Words" is an easy, quick read that grants us an insider's understanding of the man behind Apple. It's a unique insider's guide to Steve Jobs because it contains tons of quotes from Jobs taken from interviews, public statements, and media events. It's Jobs speaking on a host of subjects. Steve Jobs was truly a man filled with wisdom
If there was ever a person who deserved the "wit and wisdom" treatment, it's Steve Jobs. I was impressed by the range of topics that Jobs' spoke about with knowledge and insight and this book does a great job of covering quotes and saying from his earliest days to the last moments of his life.In a time of recession, it's great to hear Jobs wax poetic on the importance of keeping your people and continuing to invest in your company. A favorite quote was: "The cure for Apple is not cost cutting. The cure for Apple is innovation." Another that every business should follow is "quality is more important than quantity. One home run is better than two doubles."There are also some important insights into life and death. A must read.

The words of Steve Jobs, a visionary
Steve Jobs was a legendary figure. His leadership at Apple and Pixar was revolutionary in its development of products and technology from the iPad and iPhone to the first blockbuster animated movie, Toy Story. The Wit and Wisdom of Steve Jobs gives you great insight into Jobs' ideas and leadership skills. I learned a lot that I can use in my own work. The quotes and saying in the collection are the best of the best and there are a lot that I never read before and I'm a big Apple and Jobs fan.

A wonderful collection of quotes by a great man
This is a great collection of quotes - and a great tribute to the creative genius and visionary who was Steve Jobs. The book is organized well and is great for me to read on my kindle during my commute - a little bit of inspiration on my way to work. Recommended for anyone looking to learn a little more of what Steve Jobs was all about, without picking up one of his big biographies.

for commercial applications
I have done household and small commercial applications for 20+ years. I have recently been hired by a commercial refrigeration company. While I have not read the entire book it appears to be quite a comprehensive volume for commercial applications. Useful to make the transition I require. It is very helpful in answering my questions and providing additional information on the systems/components/effects/problems/reasons I am being introduced to on the job. Some of the details on each subject seem to be helpful to the professionals I work with. As one of the reviewers (who gave a one star rating) stated: all professionals should already have this knowledge. However, if I were a business owner I would want all my techs to have a copy of this book to speed the diagnosis and proper solution for the system's failure as opposed to simply replacing the failed part. (It seems to me the above mentioned reviewer should write his own book...I'd buy it).

My suggestion is after you do a good job today, many-many are hanging out in the community you want to go. If you want to work at the bank, there is often a banker’s night event that can help you to know this community. This connection can be relatives, friends, acquaintances or anyone who can refer you to the new job. Finding appropriate references to get a new job. With the reference of your connection, there is no guarantee that you are probably most appropriate for the job. Therefore, many companies would cultivate something like this and provide “incentives” or a salary increase for employees who can provide good references of people who can help the company achieve its goals. For those who have worked at this time, one good indication that you need refreshing, and find the latest job is laziness on the weekend and Monday before ending. Recently graduated or already saturated will work now, you would think it’s time to find a job (new) coveted course. Always remember that professional references are preferred over references. You prefer to are the names of this references not to mention full contact details (including job title, employer, business address, email, cellular phone number). Sometimes, with new employees seeking their first job, they will n’t have 4 professional references. If it’s a “real” job, and you are therefore unsure who to buy, you need to ask a professor. The better information allowing, the better that reference appears. Whenever you selected your references, this can be a good grasp get in touch with them and tell them that your particular call is likely to be coming from your potential employer. It can be generally better to list your strongest reference first. I did a supervisor of mine during a previous position which i weren’t able to stand, on the other hand bit my lip if you know his reference stomach in handy some day. Your references should know you very well and be able to speak highly folks. Remember, your references accomplish YOU a favor by speaking highly of individuals. You should not give your reference at a former boss or supervisor when you left on bad terms… a bad idea. Unless you or employer is getting references in the beginning, it truly is generally best practice to wait until further notice before submitting them. Ideally you aspire to have 3 to 4 references for any employer. When searching for to the next stage position, this can require more references (around 7 to 10).
