Almost a perfect ending
Loved the last episode until the very last 5 minutes. The scene with Ben and Locke outside the church was really satisfying.

In a word- AWESOME!!
Possibly THE best show EVER in television history and I am so glad that I was able to watch it and enjoy the ride. It made you really think as to what was really happening to these characters as they struggled with many unknown and unseen forces on the island. It was so much more than 'just' a weekly TV drama that starts, ends, and is neatly wrapped up in an hour. It made the viewer really think about all the different aspects of the show long after the hour was over and for months (okay 6 years!) and even resulted in many forums, websites & blogs dedicated to discussion of what everything meant or could mean.It was not so much about 'the ending' (which I totally loved!), but more about the journey with this group of people, who like most, are naturally flawed and have made choices and mistakes in life.I recently re-watched some episodes on my new Kindle Fire and it played beautifully with great sound, vibrant color and no streaming issues what so ever! Will most likely...

This is GREAT! 1 of my favorite FZ compilations!
Wow. While I understand the other reviewer's(like kaysixone)saying that 'this cd would appeal to only hardcore Zappaphiles' imo, the great music that was totally unreleased before the "Last Episodes" came out, & the historical significance & comedic value contained within, would make this cd great for anyone that had just a few of FZ's recordings.I began buying FZ's material in 1965 w/the release of the then unheard of 2 album(vinyl)release of "Freak Out"(i'm dating myself by saying this)& I just never stopped buying FZ's recordings! Besides having every official release, & having all but 3 of his official video's, I also STILL have many of the bootleg recordings of Zappa as well. Having said that, "The Lost Episodes" finds it's way into my cd player more than most otherFZ recordings!! Tho MANY of those are often played too. I just can't get enough. Which is why I wish Gail Zappa was as prolificat releasing her husbands cd's & VIDEO's as Frank...

FZ Gives Us More Treasures For The "Die-Hard" Fan
The Lost Episodes, one of the last projects FZ ever worked on, is a compilation of the earliest recordings of Zappa material. the tracks on this album go back to 1958...8 years before his premiere album! there are 30 tracks ( I say "tracks" because many are not songs) yet every one of them is very significant and entertaining.A 60 page booklet comes with the album that describes the history of every track....a giant "plus" in the compilation department and a mandatory read if you want to entirely grasp and appreciate this album. there are very many highlights on this album and I'll name a few:"The Blackouts" lets you hear how FZ sounded as a teenager in the late 1950's."Lost in a Whirlpool", a song from 1958, is Captain Beefheart as a teenager singing a blues parody that contains the word "mother******" (the oldest song I know of to contain that word)."Cops & Buns" is a real 2 1/2 minute confrontation FZ had with the NYPD as they stormed...

Indispensible slice of history and histrionics
Uninitiated fans such as myself will find more than enough tidbits for intelligent Zappa chats in the extensive liner booklet (a la "Yellow Shark). Every track has a background check; these and the description of Zappa's lair (i.e. Reagan reich poster) enhance the experience greatly. This is a nostalgia trip that will engage and corrupt the mind. Fans must have it; nonfans need to be offended by it.

No buts-this book is canon
I still highly recommend this book to anyone who loved Lost. If you want a gift for your favorite Lost fanatic, this is the only book you should consider buying. That is because this is the only book written with the help of the Lost producers. It is fact-canon. Other books may theorize what happened in the Lost world but this is the only book that tells you what did happen."No great depth" said the previous review! I was amazed at all the depth and details. Just a few examples: Jacob appreciated Widmore's loyalty and allowed him to rise to leadership with Eloise. Jacob had Alpert strip Widmore of his position and banish him. Danielle arrived on the island after the Purge. Ben planned to fool Juliet into releasing the gas from the Tempest killing herself, the 815 survivors and the freighter crew. Plus it confirms things we suspected like Widmore being the one to execute the Purge of the Dharma Initiative via gas from the Tempest and the one who told his goons to slaughter...

Great content; poor editing
First, an initial statement of possible sources of bias: I am a professional academic and an unapologetic LOST enthusiast (you may read what you like into that conjunction). I ordered the LOST Encyclopedia on May 4 and received it on October 12 following a delay from its original listed release date of August 24, so I've been anticipating its release for a while.Second, an executive summary: as a fan of the show, I'm glad to finally have this "encyclopedia" on my bookshelf and think it an excellent resource. Nevertheless, the presentation of the book is somewhat less polished than I would have hoped, leading me to suspect that a second edition may be in the works. Any recommendation that I can give would therefore have to be a guarded one.Like the show for which it serves as a reference guide, this book must have been a massive undertaking for everyone involved with little guarantee of pleasing everyone in its audience. I can therefore forgive the omission...

A good, if not definitive resource with some noticeable flaws
The LOST Encyclopedia will not bring a bevy of new insights or craved "answers" for fans of the show, but it is a solid catalog of facts and histories from the show's vast mythology. I wouldn't call it comprehensive, but it's an enjoyably casual reference for fans of the show. The biggest negative trait of the book is the sloppy editing. Despite being delayed multiple times before its release, the articles still contain numerous typographical errors (I'd estimate one every couple of pages on average), far more than should be acceptable for a professionally published work like this. There are even entries that are OUT OF ALPHABETICAL ORDER: under "D," there are three entries ordered "Donovan," "Dogen" and "Doctors." I know it's something most people won't lose a lot of sleep over, but as an English major I found them impossible to ignore and quite distracting from the flow of the book.More important and germane to the nature of the LOST Encyclopedia, there...

Adult Party Cartoon is amazing
Adult Party Cartoon is amazing, plain and simple. So many people complain about the direction that Spumco went with the new Ren and Stimpy cartoons, and to some extent I can understand why. But come on, art evolves and I guarantee you that just as many people would be hollering if John and the gang had just kept on doing what they were doing in 1991. But they didn't, and that's awesome.Spumco has always been in the business of reinventing amazing cartoons.. right from the get-go. The original Ren & Stimpy = Brilliant. The Yogi/Jetsons cartoons = brilliant, and Adult Party Cartoon is also brilliant. Will it make you uncomfortable? YES! Is some of the art disgusting and disturbing? Yes! And you know what? That's the nature of art. Art challenges and entertains and tittilates and disgusts and disturbs, and that's why it's so important to our society. There's nothing I love more than a complicated piece of work that makes me think, reflect and laugh --...

Oh sweet God...Ren & Stimpy the way they were always meant to be!
A couple years back, John K. attempted to resurrect Ren & Stimpy for Spike TV. And it worked, albeit pretty briefly. This collection of "Lost" episodes features six episodes where Ren & Stimpy get revamped with all the grossness, nudity, and insane antics that the show was always meant to have, and even though at times it can get to be too much for it's own good, this DVD set is a must own for those who fondly remember this gruesome twosome. In these episodes, Ren & Stimpy go to a beach filled with voluptuous young girls who like to get naked, try to help out a homeless widow (an homage to the Three Stooges), get in over their heads with an insane fire chief, and look to move out of the bum's mouth that they've been living in. Stimpy is also pregnant with Ren's love child (the results of which are hysterical, to me anyway, others may find it to be way too much), and Ren goes to a shrink to reveal the origin of his violent ways. There's interviews and introductions aplenty with...

Product Description

The first episode in the exciting new paranormal urban fantasy series: Lost Souls.

Christian Thompson is killed in a car accident but refuses to pass into the afterlife because of his protective need to shelter his daughter Aurora from her cruel mother. He soon discovers there are others like him, other wandering spirits trapped between the world of the living and the dead. He joins this larger group of Lost Souls in their struggle to destroy the evil endangering their existence.

Unholy creatures threaten both Christian's new world and his old. They are entities called the Changed, beings who were once Lost Souls but who are now dark, dangerous and disturbed monsters. Their ultimate goal is to return to the land of the living by possessing the body of a human.

Little does Christian realize that his decision to refuse his own death will endanger the very life of the daughter he has vowed to protect. Top to learn more

a great story
I really enjoyed LOST SOULS: Resurrection. This story forces a parent to decide to what lenghts would you go to protect your child. As a mother, the story hurt my heart because I was contstanly putting myself in Christian's shoes wondering "what would I do"? I am quite impressed with O"Donnell's storytelling...I was immerged in the story and invested in the characters. I cannot wait to see where this story is going to lead.

Fascinating world. More episodes, please!
Christian Thompson has just won a long struggle with his evil ex and gained custody of his precious daughter. While out for a walk with her he is struck by a car and killed. Refusing to move on and leave his daughter to the mercy of his ex-wife he stays earthbound. That's when the really weird stuff begins.I really enjoyed this story. I've read stories that had ghosts or spirits in them, but usually they were adjuncts or side kicks not as main characters. Writing is smooth, characters are interesting and the world is fascinating.I'm looking forward to Episode 2. I can't wait to see where this is heading.*The author provided a copy of this story to me for review. Please see disclaimer page on my blog.

I think they must mean that both components of the Coalition (Conservative and Lib Dems) lost heavily, and that it was a consolation only for the Conservatives. Episode 2 followed on. We see a moth caterpillar that freezes every winter, thaws in spring to feed on leaves, and freezes back again. I missed Episode 1 - again. What do I have to do to get 'Frozen Planet' Episode one. No consolation for the Lib Dems.

He calls himself an “adrenaline junkie” and says he enjoys having “all eyes on me. ” Coach Faber says that the gameplan for this fight is for Ogle to vary his attack and avoid the takedown. In the Team Cruz locker room, Michael Chiesa goes in to comfort his “Team Purple” buddy and Dominick tries to get Sicilia to keep his head up and learn from his losses. Coach Faber then asks Andy Ogle if he’s ready for his upcoming fight against Mike Rio, and the Brit responds in a very half-hearted way. ” Team Cruz' Rio calls himself the “UK Hunter” since he’s facing Newcastle born Andy Ogle and eliminated another Brit to get into the TUF house. After recapping last week’s fight between Sam Sicilia and Chris Saunders, we see the inside of the victorious Team Faber locker room.   If people are still worried about how his knee will affect him, Dominick puts that to rest saying that, “Personally, I think he’s 100%” It may be true, but if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Cruz this season, it’s that his coaching isn’t... Add that to the fact that on the day of the fight, he was sending tweets to his dad about buying watches, and I’m not feeling too good about his chances. Despite the defeat, Sicilia manages to keep some perspective saying, “I’d rather lose that fight than have a killer day at the office. This year it’s sponsored by the United States Marine Corps and pairs obstacle course elements with shooting challenges involving fully automatic rifles and grenade launchers. An accomplished high school and college wrestler, Rio calls himself a “Boy Scout” who never really did bad things because he was too busy training.
