These strips are ok, but be aware that there are types different strips geared to test different fluids. For example, I would NOT recommend these strips if you want to know your body's PH (urine and saliva)for those I highly recommend pHydrion's pH tape. Compact and Convenient
I needed an inexpensive and small supply of test papers for my elementary class. This lightweight and easy-to-use dispenser met my needs as far as not taking up space, being easy to transport, I could allow students to tear their own strip, and they could read the results quickly and easily. It was delivered to school promptly in a small package; the whole experience made for a fun and convenient lesson. The kids had enjoyed learning about pH, and were enamored with the magic of this tiny paper.

Nice Basic Strips - Good Value
pH paper does reasonably well. Fairly accurate and a nice sturdy case/dispenser.Initially when i used it i thought it wasnt working because the strips didnt change color when placed in known acidic or basic solutions.Turns out that the first few inches of the strip that were exposed were probably exposed to air too long during storage etc.After that, no problems and fairly accurate pH results.

One thing that always bothers me with pH strips
The manufacturers typically say: "Immerse tape in solution and read immediately." What is immediately? 2 seconds later? Or 2 minutes later? If I read it 2 seconds later I get a 6.0. If I read it two minutes later I get an 8.0.Terribly frustrating. I've been looking for an electronic alternative because of this problem. I recently bought some Shanghai surprises and got paper that doesn't read above 7.0! Oy! Getting an accurate pH reading should not be this difficult.

It works fine
There isn't much that can be said about this type of product. It works.This is the specific type of test paper prescribed for medical testing of various bodily fluids by the Duke university hospital. Good product, slightly different than pictured
Strips do test well, there is some bleeding of dye though, so you do want to be careful about your dipping method, otherwise you'll have 2 readings on one piece of paper.One thing that I must point out is that the product is slightly different from the pictured one. The chart on these strips show WHOLE pH numbers. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11. There is no 6.0, 6.4, 6.8 and so on. Really wish I read the description more carefully. Top to learn more

Very reliable and accurate ph strips
I have tried a lot of ph strips, and was recommended these by a friend. I am very pleased with the results - they are much more accurate than other brands I've tried, with many different ranges to choose from too. Despite the price I will be getting these from now on.Oh and note to others getting this - they sometimes put a massive label covering up a full side of the chart (which I thought was missing until I scraped off the packaging label to reveal the rest of the cart). Amazing item!
Ordered this to test the pH of my hair products. I was looking for a pH testing kit that wasn't too expensive and had good reviews. This fulfilled my requirements (and Amazon prime rocks). I was so psyched to get it in the mail. First off, it's nice and small - easily stored and easy to use. pH sticks are strong yet flexible plastic. Instructions are on the box - diagrams. Dip your pH stick in the liquid for 2 sec and then match it up with the colors on the box (1 -7 on one side and 7 - 14 on the other side). So I emptied out my cabinet and confirmed that yes I am a product junkie. It was so great to finally know their pH and the pH of products that I will use in the future.So overall, I would most definitely recommend this product!!! Have fun! Top to learn more

FInally!
I finally found some decent pH strips for testing. Can't for the life of me figure out why they are so hard to find in my town--it's like they could be illegal or something! Anyway, these are fine! Nice wide range, easy to read color, you get a hundred in the package. I was surprised to see how small the box was, but really, how big do you need your pH strips to be? Now that I've done the research and the nearly endless searching, I'll know where to find the next box. (which I may not need for a long time, but maybe I shoud go ahead and buy one anyway...). I should have scanned Amazon first! Depends on what you are testing, but I like that these will test from 1 all the way to 14. Acid? Alkaline? You might finally get a chance to find out! They look like match sticks
There are so many of these things to choose from I was lost, I think I decide on these because they only have one square and not like...5, like some of the other test stick (an overkill for my purpose) they seemed kind of flimsy, like match sticks when I took them out of the box, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and they work great. I wanted them to test the pH of my hair products and they did not disappoint. Top to learn more

works well enough
I used these test strips to test my aquarium water. As expected, it put it at somewhere between 5 and 6, which is good for my aquatic plants, but a little harsh for my cichlids. My tap water tested at 6, and I did tests against bleach(don't remember) and orange juice(around 3.5). I checked ph levels against standard results from google search. All appeared in general range of expected results. Color chart was easy to read, but only good if you just need approximate numbers. As advertised, only whole numbers, but you can kind of see when it is between two numbers in color(hence the 3.5 on oj), so a little better than I had anticipated.General process is: dip paper in water, shake off excess, and immediately look at chart and compare.I thought about buying a digital ph tester, but then i read about them. The colors on the chart are not distinct enough and there is one mauve/purple shade on the color chart where almost the same color is defined as both highly acidic and highly base. The second liquid I tested turned the paper a bright blue which wasn't remotely similar to any of the colors on the chart.
