Poems of Wilde
The book includes all the best poems by Oscar Wilde. I enjoyed reading each and every poem but to say honestly - Wilde was much better in his prose.

Selected Poems of Oscar Wilde (1911) is a collection of poetry Wilde wrote when he was twenty-six years old. It is combined with some later works, including The Ballad of Reading Gaol, which displays Wilde's sensuousness and precocity. Though never well-received, Wilde's poetry is quite unique and deserves more attention than critics have been willing to give it.

An excellent version! - For Free!
I really like the way this version is set up. At the front you can go straight to any of the three series, but the thing I liked the most is at the back it has all the poems listed in alphabetical order mostly by their first lines. Just so you know, there is an active ToC, it is at the back. Not to mention, it was free! Besides, it has so many poems it made me happy.

I can see how the formatting would upset some but...
...I really like it! I like how the poems are broken up into different topics like love and success. On the formatting issue, though, there are gaping maws (for lack of a better phrase) of space between some of the poems but to this edition's credit, the stanzas are just perfect, written like they are in printed versions of Emily Dickinson poem collections.

Wonderful collection
This is a great collection of classic rhyming poems. I found many of my favorite poems, including "If" and "The Raven". And the price is right. If you want a more durable collection, you might try another favorite of mine, "Poetry for a Lifetime". This beautiful volume includes many of these poems and is illustrated and has comments from the editor. I highly recommend both books.

Great Selection of American and British Poetry
Philip Smith has assembled a very good sampling of the best poetry in the English language. We read Marlowe, Shakespeare, Donne, Jonson, Herrick, Milton, Gray, Blake, Burns, Wordsworth, Coleridge, Byron, Shelley, Keats, both Brownings, Longfellow, Poe, Whitman, Dickinson, Hardy, Housman, Yeats, Frost, Pound, Millay, Cummings, Auden, Dylan Thomas, and many others. This inexpensive Dover edition is an excellent buy.The collection is as advertised: these are the best-loved poems in the English language. These are familiar poems, poems that are accessible to casual readers of poetry, poems that continue to resonate today. Smith's compilation is fun to read and to reread. Any teacher would find it ideal for introductory English literature classes, honors high school or college. What is missing? This collection excludes translations of classical poetry, poetry of the non-English speaking world, and contemporary English-speaking poets. But this little book contains...

Hard to Read, Hard to Navigate
Well, I love Whitman and I love free books. So that being said, I can't really complain too much. However, I was very disappointed by the lack of formatting and navigation options. The line breaks are practically non-existent, with the exception of punctuation that serves as line breaks (colons and so forth). Furthermore, the table of contents is not linked/click-able. You can't use it to navigate from poem to poem. You will have to use the search function and bookmarks extensively to make your version comfortable to navigate. The collection itself is rather extensive, which is nice.

Arranged a little oddly
Nice collection but it's arranged a little oddly. Some pieces I would put under different categories. Makes my favorite poem hard to find.

Here is Isiah Fish’s poem “Catch Up”:. If I see you in a grocery store ten years from now. Here are Isiah, Maddey, and Krystol’s poems. After the students read, Fleegal picked her three winners: Krystol Stinson in third, Maddey Gates in second, and Isiah Fish in first place. Then, Fleegal shared a number of her poems with us followed by a Q and A and book signing. Maddey Gates’ poem “Get me a Six Pack of Sestina and a Fifth of Cherry Burnett’s”. All 10 finalists read the poems that they were selected for, and they did a beautiful job. Maybe I would ask you to dinner, a catch-up dinner. At lunch you ask if I want some ketchup for my fries,. I’ll lie, silently thanking you for not asking if I want to meet your husband. look down at your plate, look at all those people. you at a grocery store ten years from now. You’re going to adopt a beautiful Korean baby, and to think I bit the head. off one of those Korean dolls just last Thursday. But how can I tell you I’m steadfastly single, you’ve got kids on the way you say,.

Ideas may involve some workshops prior to the event, which I am open to organising, so don’t hold back on the ideas, lets create something new that will go down as an event in the history of Polesworth in the same way that Donne’s poem is considered. So I am proposing that we create a commemorative event to take place on Good Friday 2013 at The Abbey and I am looking for ideas from the poetry community as to what we might do. I do have one or two ideas that have been suggested to me already,... Last week saw my first workshop with the community café in Wilnecote where a cross generational group gathered to discuss the song Comfortably Numb and to create new lines in response to the song, these were recorded and I am now putting together... Who knows in 100 years time our descendant poets may well be celebrating 500 years since Donne wrote the poem and 100 years since we created our event. Keith has written and produced a radio play called Fists and Chips, the play takes the theme of domestic violence as its focus and seeks to breakdown preconceived ideas on the reality on what is for some unfortunate people is a major part of their... The play was produced as a radio play in a London recording studio, starring Jeff Stewart (PC Reg Hollis in the Bill) and Carrie Hill. The interpretation features a new script, poetry, dance and actors drawn from the local community to explore the themes of isolation, delusion, seclusion and loneliness and how it impacts people in their daily lives. For my part I am creating new poetry both from my own pen and also in collaboration with the Community Cafés. Not that I am adverse to comedy, I appreciate the comic sketch as much as anyone but I do wonder if writers use comedy as a safe way to get their work out there and as such avoid the controversy that a serious play exploring social issues can...
