What a great clay
Great moist clay at a reasonable price and the shipping charges were extremely low for 50 pounds of clay. Some of the clay turned into beautiful pottery - the rest can not be blamed on the clay but me, the potter!

The best identification book in my library!!!
This is by far the book I reach for time and time again when I am trying to identify a piece of pottery. Full of useful information and history of the company. This is not meant to be a price guide and it isn't. I have found obscure marks on items in this book when the information hasn't been in any other book. Truly a bible for the collector of pottery made in the USA. Easy to use. Well organized. Super book!

And So It Was Done
Years ago I hunted high and low for a book on American ceramic wares, a genre who's time I saw closing fast. It was suggested once that I write one. I am glad I didn't take the challenge as my work would surly have paled severely in contrast to this marvelous, all inclusive work. Lois Lehner gives the subject the depth, scope and respect it deserves. This is 'the book' on American marks on pottery and porcelain its authority is never questioned.

Amaco Craft Porcelain
I primarily work with air dry clay. I purchased this craft porcelain because I needed something that dries a little harder. I absolutely love it. You can paint craft porcelain after it dries or mix in shavings of pastel chalk, acrylic paint, oil paint or just a tiny pit of polymer clay to color it. If you're use to polymer clay, please know that craft porcelain is not like what you're use to. It's a little "wetter" out of the package but when it dries, the product is amazing. If your item is small, 1 to 2 inches you'll only need 24hrs for it to dry. If it's a larger piece, allow 2-3 days for it to dry completely on the inside.Make sure you cover any craft porcelain that's not being used with a wet cloth or in an air tight plastic bag. It'll keep a long while like this.
