I have taught cosmetology for over 16 years- this is still the best text I have ever used- it is a smaller book, yet it covers the important items much more thoroughly. I can't believe it is not still in print for school use. It exceeds Milady cosmetology and Pivot Point Salon fundamentals by far. If I could only have one source this would be my choice.Please bring it back !!!

About what you would expect
This was the required textbook for my technical writing class, and as you might it expect, it covered all the topics necessary, but there was nothing ground shaking about the book.If you need serious help with your writing, this is not the book to turn too. If you are looking for a guide book that covers many common formats, the book isn't bad, but all the information is easier to find on the net.

Save money on college texts with previous editions
My son needed the 8th edition for a freshman comp course. I was not willing to pay the outrageous price, so I bought the 7th edition at a fraction of the price. My son reports that the headings are in a different color and the newer edition has more pages. So far, he hasn't suffered any setbacks as a result of my thrifty ways.

The book covers lots however fails to induce real advanced in a lot of of something. i'd reccomend for the advanced highschool student a university level text with a decent teacher rather than wasting it slow on this.
