Great puppy gift from breeders
Im surprised that this item has not caught on its a great concept!! I came across this item before I left for canada to pick up a puppy and decided to take it with me. I brought it up there and had all the puppies in her litter play with red dog as hes called around here. I then had her breeder rub it in her hands and before I boarded the place I placed it in a ziploc bag for the plane ride home (she flew home on my lap) when I got home I brought it out of the bag after she had met all her new dog family members and you could see the difference in her it was like she never left her litter mates!!! You can heat it up for 30 in the microwave and put it in the crate with them and its like they are sleeping with their littermates. She loves her red dog!! Even after 2 years he will disappear (under a couch or bottom of a toybox) for awhile and then make a reappereance and she gets soo excited to see him again! I have never washed him so I cant tell you how he wears but after 2 years he...

Very cute, smallish, puppy likes!
First, this toy is about as big as a large hand: if you are under the impression that it is large enough for a weaned puppy to lie on, look elsewhere! It is not a mat, but more of a small, flat, squarish stuffed animal. It might be small enough for a very young puppy, though ~ one not yet weaned.That said, our puppy loves it. I gave it to the breeder to handle before taking new puppy home ~ as another reviewer suggested ~ and puppy was very sniffily pleased to encounter the warmed cuddle pal before her first bedtime in her new home.We warm this each night and while I can't say it has "soothed" her in any noticeable way, puppy loves to shake and wrestle with this toy during playtime.

LOVE these chews!
It is awesome to find a dental chew that is safe for a teething puppy AND nutritious. I also love that it has cranberries in it to help my little girl's urinary health; and DHA to help her developing brain. My 4 month old Lhasa Apso puppy, Alexi, goes crazy for these! She polishes a small one off in about 15 minutes. I've considered getting the large ones to keep her chewing longer, but I worry that they might be a bit too big. These are a fantastic value and are much cheaper than similar brands. I tried the CET dental chews, and they made her terribly sick (and I won't consider Greenies at any age due to the ingredients). Alexi eats a corn-free, gluten-free, wheat-free, soy-free diet, and these fit the bill perfectly. She eats Canidae Lamb and Rice as her food and gets these and Zuke's for treats and chews. Tough toy the dog LOVES
Our 1 year old, 18 lb chewing fanatic destroys most toys within minutes. We can't even think of buying anything that squeaks or has stuffing. This toy has survived the Willow tooth test and she likes the rattling sound it makes when she carries it. This one is a winner for an aggressive chewer!

Great Puppy Toy
My 3 1/2 month-old Welsh Corgi is teething and is in constant need of something to chew on. He prefers ice cubes, as a matter of fact, which gets a little complicated if I don't want to take him outside every ten minutes. I wasn't sure how these rings would work out after seeing them at a pet store because they're awfully hard and I didn't know if he'd even like to chew on them. I couldn't have been more mistaken because he loves them! He flips them over in the air, pounces after them, and proceeds to chew for amazing stretches of time. They're holding up well under the pressure. Highly recommended!

Absolutely adorable....
My 10.5 month old son and "almost" 2 year old daughter LOVE this puppy!!! It is so cute! And very good sized too! My daughter will sit and play with it - pushing on the ear, hands, feet, stomache and nose... making it talk and sing. My son just likes to dance away while the puppy sings (teehee)! We all have a good time with it!It says many different things - to many to list here. My daughters favorites are to hear it say (when pushing on the nose), "Achoooo" (sneezing sound), or "You got my nose" (she gets a kick out of that everytime)! She also loves that it 'sings', "The itsy bitsy spider" (her favorite song)!Terrific buy and lots of fun!!!!!!

Great Toy!!!
We have this and Hug & Learn Baby Tad, and we prefer this puppy because it has a lot of variety. It has two modes - learning and musical, which are selected by pressing the button on its foot. The other foot, both hands, an ear, tummy and nose play sounds or songs when pressed. The puppy identifies body parts, colors and sings fun songs. It is very colorful, has a flashing bone on his shirt and volume control through a velcro seam on its back. My young son finds it very easy to push the buttons. Some reviewers have said that the ear broke, but we have not had any such problem and we've used it every day for four months.

He's a good dog who sings songs (all the way through)
This little pup is a very awesome baby toy!! For $20 (or less--we got ours for free during a 2-1 Fisher Price special), he is very interactive and elaborate.While he may not always have a light-up bone (as in Amazon's description) he counts, names body parts and colors, has funny sayings, and sings many songs (ENTIRE songs). He's funnier, more educational (and cuter) than "Tickle-Me-Elmo"--minus the annoying voice.A few of folks have been rating him poorly because his songs cut off early. This is possibly a misunderstanding resulting from the pup not being taken out of "demo" mode. You have to pull a plastic tab out of his back in order for him to fully function (otherwise his songs cut short). Unfortuantely the directions are not clear on the box and the tab doesn't stand out so it is easy to mistake him for a "bad musical toy"... However, once he's out of demo mode the songs aren't just longer but more plentiful too. He (or she) has a nonstop sweet...

Puppy Loves It!
This is a great toy! My 3 1/2 mo. old Welsh Corgi puppy loves it, along with several other nylabone products. Unlike some of the other toys out there, it's holding together well and gives him hours - literally! - of chewing pleasure. Which gives me hours of relief from barking and other signs of puppy frustration. This, along with his nylabone keys and triple rings, are constant companions...and the older dogs like them too...although, I'm not certain this is a good thing as it incites puppy barking when they steal it from him... ;-)

Good, but know, that...
I purchased this one for my 10 wk old chihuahua pup who's not a terribly aggressive chewer unless he's in active playtime. He's about a pound in weight at the moment and will be about 4lbs at maturity. These were harder than the clear flexi-bone he occasionally uses if I encourage playtime, and gummier in texture than the really really hard dura-chew, which don't work for me at all.It was also too large, although it said "puppy pacifier" and in my experience they were too hard for him at this stage, but I will save to offer in later months. I have now realized that although it comes in different sizes, the size in inches or at all were not specified. I got the one labeled "small".Pros:-Bacon scent is only obvious if toy is held right up to your nose, which is pleasantly discreet.-Great if your dog is a very aggressive chewer.If you have a small toy breed (1lb-5lb), this toy may be too large and/or hard.

2 out of 3 ain't bad
I got my 3 month old puppy this starter set. Like most reviewers, my puppy:a: chewed on the flexi-chew chicken bone for a long timeb: ignored the white durachew bonec: devoured the edible chew bacon boneI will definitely buy her the flexi-chew bones. People are right about the pieces breaking off in chunks larger than `rice' size, but the package says that "rice-sized pieces should pass." I don't think that means it will break in rice-sized pieces; it means that in the event a rice-sized piece breaks off and the dog swallows it, it should pass...should I type rice-sized piece one more time? I just did. My pup chewed off pieces that were consistently larger than rice-sized (Oh! Did it again!) and spent a good 5min. trying to chew each piece down if I could not stick my fingers in her throat to grab it. I crate my pup and would not let her have this bone in the crate because of the pieces that break off. Also, it is down to a size that would easily...

Good Starter!!
The Nylabone chews are wonderful for your puppy for about 1 month. We bought a border collie who just loves to chew and for the 1st month these were perfect for him to start chewing those (Not our shoes, hands, etc.) Once your puppy is about 2 months you might want to get him/her a different style of bone because the beacon flavors once break apart into a million pieces all over the floor. So we had to up grade our pup to an adult chew. But these are great to get your pup started!
