Surprisingly durable
If you are looking to buy something for the "red carpet" treatment, this is a good product. It is very thin and the material is inexpensive, but for the price I was impressed. The carpet comes with double sided tape on the bottom at both ends and along the sides. We cut the carpet in half and used half on concrete outside the door and half on carpet inside. The double sided tape wasn't perfect so we used clear masking tape to hold it down. There were 30 people coming and going over it all night and it didn't snag or tear and held up quite well. We took it off the next day and it looked just as good as when we put it down.Yes, you can buy more expensive looking red carpets, but if you just want the look without the cost this is a great product.

Surprised by durability
I was really surprised by how well this product held up. I had a party where 50 people probably walked across it to take some pictures in front of a fake step-and-repeat that I made. The carpet didn't rip, but maybe it's because most people were wearing flip-flops. The party was from noon-9pm, and it didn't tear. I really like that it came with double-sided tape, that's convenient since I didn't have double-sided tape and I'm glad that I didn't have to run out and buy it just for the red carpet. The fabric isn't well-made, probably good for one use, but still looked good the whole day. Obviously, for how inexpensive this is, you should look elsewhere if you're looking for a real looking red carpet. This is not real red carpet material, or even carpet for that matter. It's made out of the same material that those light blue paper rags that mechanics use to absorb motor oil, etc.

Excellent for this price
We have been using this at our church. The runner has held together over 5 sundays of traffic. It's light, but for our purposes has been working great. Using this outside would speed up it's deterioration, but for a one night event it would work just fine. This product should not be confused with a real red carpet, it will only give you the atmosphere you are looking for, not the real thing. It is a toy after all.

Loved it!
Every year our school holds Spirit Week and one day out of the week is dubbed Fashion Disaster where the kids dress all crazy. We lay out a red carpet and crank up the ipod for them to model their fashion disasters on the "runway". In the past I've purchased those cheap plastic red carpets from the party stores, but they always rip and blow away. One year I bought a heavy material from the fabric store, but because it was not stitched on the edges it kept rolling up creating a tripping hazard.This year I decided to pony up the extra dough and just purchase an actual carpet. Wish I would've done this years ago! The carpet looked great and lasted through almost 600 kids without showing hardly any wear. It's light enough to be managed by one person but heavy enough that the edges do not curl making it a safer option for our kids.Highly recommend this product for your next function!

Feels like Hollywood!
You never know what to expect when you order things like this online. I had a red carpet event with the Marketing Manager from HARPO Studios, and I wanted to have everything right. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the carpet, especially because it's suitable for indoor and outdoor use.I loved it so much, that I purchased another one so I could have one inside the event and another outside. The stitching around the edges gives it a clean, polished look. The fabric keeps the ladies from tripping. If it gets soiled from being outside, you simply hose it off. It's not that "plastic" fiber like you see on someone's porch. Instead it's combination of fabric and fibers to give it a look of luxury, without having the "plush" look.It comes already rolled in a reusable box, so I'm never worried about where I'm going to store it. If you're looking for a quality red carpet, without spending a fortune, this is it!

Huge hit!
We got these stickers for my daughter's first birthday party and put the name of her guests on them and placed them on the tile floor at the entrance to our house. The party was over 6 months ago and I am still pleasantly surprised when we go to some of the houses of kids that came to the party and they still have "their" star on their bedroom door!

Super Star
This was purchased for my Daughter's 13th birthday. She was celebrating her birthday with a Movie theme and we had a Red Carpet that everyone walked down when coming into the home. She wanted this at the end of the carpet and let me just tell you everyone was "Stunned!" They all commented on it and loved it. We have Travertine Floor and the sticker went down and came up in seconds. Not one issue. Must have for your next Movie Night celebration.

Hard to write on
I got one of these stars for a hollywood themed birthday party. I wanted to write the name of the birthday girl on the star. I will say that the star itself is pretty awesome. It's sort of that window cling type stuff, but a little sticker. We put it on the front door and it looked great. It stayed on all night and removed cleanly without leaving any residue.That said, the thing that shocked me about the star was the difficulty we had getting a pen to write on it. It's sort of a slick material, but our house is armed with dozens of sharpies. The sharpies beaded up and you couldn't see anything that was written with them. What repels sharpie! It's a permanent marker! We had a marks-a-lot pen as well, but that was only slightly better. In the end it was hard to read the name we wrote on it.If you think you have a good permanent marker that isn't a sharpie, by all means. I know that if you buy them in larger quantities they will sometimes send you a pen to use on...
