Very cool addition to Lego City!
Not many playsets have offered the addition of a seaplane, but we are all thrilled that LEGO has! Build it, play with it, crash it, build it again! Although my boys have built with Lego blocks on their own, this was one of the first sets they wanted purchased, to see if they liked the idea of putting something together with the instructions instead of "building creatively" with the standard blocks. Successful experiment, and now we will be adding to our Lego City!

City Plane - great value for money
My son (8) loves the plane. He easily assembled it (not too difficult, education only 3 stars) and it routinly crashes. No problem, because it is very durable. He hase some other city parts and the plane opened the 3rd dimension to is play. I would recommend it.

Excellent Review for Obtaining a Seaplane License
I purchased this book in 2004 from ASA in order to prepare for a seaplane (ASES) certificate. The material is organized and written in an expert manner that presents the theory and fundamentals of seaplane operations in a way that allows the student to quickly assimilate a large amount of information. I believe that preparing for seaplane training by reading this book prior to actual instruction allowed me to complete an ASES certificate in 4.0 hours with a Piper PA-18-180 on Edo 2250 floats. I would strongly recommend this text to the pilot wishing to upgrade his/her skills by obtaining a seaplane certificate.

Awesome Toy
Although I realize this is a little SEA plane, I don't believe the manufacturer leads you to believe that this is a bath toy. Do NOT purchase if you are looking to use this guy in the water. I thought it might float but did not want to make it a bath toys because plastic + water = mildew and shortened toy life, inevitably, and this is such a good, sturdy, well-built toy that I did not want to risk it. The pilot and pelican's faces are excellent! This toy is beautiful and awesome. I think adults will be attached to the toy as much as kids are. My 3-year-old son and 6-year-old daughter love this!!!

Just PLANE Cool
Pretty cool toy. the little man likes it and it is fun in the bath tube too. It floats but not so well as there are drain holes on top of the pontoons, doesn't bother the Kid any he just picks it up drains out the water and back to fun. The little Pelican "Bird" mounts onto the wing edge of the plane pretty cool. Overall a good fun toy.

Daughter loves this but it SINKS!
My daughter loves this plane. She loves the little pilot dude that comes with it and the bird. She flies it around her bath making airplane noises. It's sturdily built and seems like it will last for a long time.CONS! It SINKS! It's a float plane and it takes her about 2 seconds to sink the thing. Basically they put holes in the tops of the float to drain the water out. This is a major design issue.The main reason that is getting three stars and not something lower is just how much my daughter loves it. She has so much fun with it, it's a great creative toy.I also have mildew concerns for the future. We take it and set it upside down after each bath after draining as much water out as possible, but I have concerns that not all the water has been drained and will lead to mildew later on.

The author clearly has many years of experience and the book is full of small pieces of wisdom and insight, some of which are far better learned in a book rather than in the air or on the water. Contains many helpful diagrams. Would be useful both to seasoned veterans and new pilots alike. Note: focuses almost exclusively on single engine floatplanes.
