Very good TV for the price.The sound is better than most.
I am a maintenance director at a nursing home and I buy 32 inch LCD's for resident rooms.I have purchased about 6 different brands from Amazon in the past 9 months.I like this one the best and plan on only buying these from now on.This unit has an excellent picture with good black level's for an LCD.The sound on it is very good for a flat panel.There is a much better amount of clear bass and treble compared to the other brands that I have purchased.I like the fact that it has an SD card slot on the side.That makes it very easy for someone to show photos.SD seems to be taking over as the required memory in camera's.It doesn't have a USB slot which would have been nice.

Awesome for the price
I wanted a 2nd TV for our less often used family space in our lower level. My only requirements were that it be reasonably priced, at least 32", and interface with my older DVD player with component connections, and my older VCR with composite connections (yes, my kids still watch the occasional VHS movie). Frankly I didn't care if it was internet connectable for Netflix, or had a specific refresh rate. After viewing a bunch of TVs and brands side by side at my local "Good Purchase" store, including generic knock-off brands, it was clear this model of Panasonic simply had the best picture for the price. The contrast, colors, and view-ability of the IPS panel really stood out against other TVs in this price range. After checking Amazon, Amazon had the lowest price anywhere. The box came with a hole in the side, but I guess that is not necessarily the fault of Amazon. Still the TV is not double-boxed when shipped, so fortunately whatever made the hole did not get through far...

Very nice budget HDTV
Just received mine today. Was quite easy to set up once I figured out the stand slides into a panel at the bottom of the TV. I own a Panasonic 42" and set this one to the same settings since there are no real calibrations posted online yet since it's a newer model. It looks very good and comparable to the 42". Black/night scenes seem a little soft but it's nothing to really complain about.Pros:Price ($343 1 day shipping)Sound Quality - I was replacing a 2007 Sony LCD and this sound blows the other away. Excellent overall TV
The set up is fairly easy although I found the manual to be lacking in more detail, especially concerning a better explanation of some of the features.The HD picture is just AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL. I did increase the "Sharpness" from 70 to about 90, but otherwise, left it on 'AUTO'. I thought the screen might be a little too big for my computer but I was totally wrong....it is just great! I do not have a HDMI connector for the PC, only the RGB, but it is still just outstanding. Hook-up was a matter of just connecting the plugs.The sound is better than good, but not great. (Below, you will see how I was able to improve it)I was going to give it 4 stars because the non-HD channels are just good, and acceptable; but, the more I look at it, I realize it is actually pretty good. Great TV For The Money
I must preface my review by saying I didn't buy the LG 450 online, I bought it at a big box store because they had a better price:I wanted an inexpensive TV for the bedroom and the LG 450 is a good choice, the picture quality is very good for it's price. I didn't need 120Hz so I saved $150 by buying the 60Hz model. The LG 450 has Expert ISF Settings so you can have it professionally calibrated or do it yourself, it has a built-in blue filter and calibration wizard. The ATSC tuner is very powerful because I get all the local stations OTA with an indoor antenna. This model is not internet enabled so you need a set top box to get Netflix, etc. As with all TV's the sound isn't great but it does have bass and treble controls. A pleasant surprise
I honestly didn't know what to expect. I bought this TV on sale at Best Buy for 100 dollars off. I was in the market for a new TV, actually my first TV purchase.After a week of use, I am very very pleased with my purchase.The picture quality is fantastic. Every aspect of the picture can be customized- how warm the picture is, brightness, gamma exposure, etc. Let me say, out of the box the picture was great, this options are more for if you are very particular.The sound quality is adequate. Not the absolute best, but it is a very solid TV. My dad's bravia's sound quality is a lot worse so I am thankful that this setup is good.As far as features are concerned- it has all of the standards (sleep timer, auto-on/off, etc). It is missing picture-in-picture but this seems almost irrelevant for the size of the TV. Unexpectedly FANTASTIC!
We have had two new HD TVs for just a bit over 5 months. One is a 23" Sony and one a 32" LG. The Sony hooked up easily, but the LG was like our first color set. We diddled with picture, sound, aspect ratio, and other settings to get the best picture and sound on each channel. I still don't know if the differences between channels is resolution, settings, or in the case of the news, makeup. But we were just happy to get it so that we could see all the face lifts...Now for the Haier, a relatively unknown Chinese brand of high definition TV. I plugged it into our Comcast cable box using an HDMI cable, and bingo, a bright and sharp picture with wonderful sound. For a few minutes I was sure a mistake was made, and we had been given a 1080p instead of the 720 that was on the box. Perhaps anything under 50 inches doesn't matter. Great picture quality with a great price!
I purchased this TV to replace an aging 55" rear projection Mitsubitshi that i had set up in my office. While browsing the deal sites I noticed this TV listed at $197 dollars and clicked the link to the Amazon site. I was not familiar with the Haier brand of televisions and thought of it as a cheap knockoff TV with subpar screens. There were only four reviews of this TV while i was contemplating the purchase and though they were mostly good i was a little leery about buying this. A Basic Cable at a Good Price
This is the HDMI cable to get right now: an HDMI 1.4 cable at a good price.HDMI 1.4HDMI 1.4 is the latest standard (as of November 2010 at least). It is backward compatible with other HDMI gear (mine all are HDMI 1.3 compliant). And it will be more useful to you if your TV supports HDMI 1.4 networking. I was not able to test the Ethernet networking capability of this cable, but I think the idea behind it is a good one.For my current home entertainment setup, I had to set up separate Internet connections on my TV, set top box, Blu-Ray player, and WD TV LIVE (HTPC). It would have been a lot easier if I could have just set up my TV's internet connection, and allow all of my components to share it. That's what HDMI 1.4 promises to let you do--as long as all of your hardware, including the cables, supports it. Equal to Cables at 5X the Price
This is an excellent HDMI cable. I was skeptical seeing Amazon come out with their own cables, but these are very good quality. I would equate them to the higher end Belkin Pure AV line, which you can sometimes find at the best prices. These cables are even less than that! And the packaging is nice ... no fussing with scissors and that super-sealed plastic that cables usually come in - just pop 'em out and hook 'em up! Great!

A bit difficult to maneuver
I hooked this braided HDMI cable between my HDTV and my computer to stream video from the internet to my HDTV. The picture is clear and the sound quality is very good. I don't see any difference while using this cable from computer to HDTV than I do when watching TV directly from my satellite box. The only problem I have with this cable is that it is very thick due to the braiding, which makes it hard to turn. I need to plug it into one side of my HDTV, loop it around the back of the TV and bring it out on the other side where I place my computer out of tripping range. The thickness of the cable makes it hard to loop around and it's heavier than the other cables I have. This cable would probably be best for professional use where there might be heavy usage and plugging and unplugging of the cord. It will probably stand the test of time and constant movement easier than the regular smooth vinyl cables. But, for normal home use, the vinyl cables are easier to handle...

Great TV for $250
Bought this as a second set for our guest bedroom - my Mom often comes to visit and complained the last few times the TV I had in the room was crap.Was a bit skeptical for the price and an unknown brand. Turns out this is great TV - decent picture, easy to set up, plenty of connections , sound is OK.I have it wired to a regular DirecTV box (not HD) and use a mode in the TV to fill the screen - looks OK - not too grainy and plenty bright. Also have an antenna hooked up - off-air HD looks just fine. Finally - hooked a PC up to it so my Mom can check her email etc. Same story - worked OK and looks fine.Amazon free shipping and no sales tax was the deal maker for me. Buying the same set in the local K-Mart would have cost at least $100 more.If you need an inexpensive (I changed my tune from cheap - this does not perform like a cheap TV) TV don't overlook this set, or other Haier products. If it was made in the USA it been an even better deal...but as-is...

Good TV, Warranty is shorter than described.
The online description says that the warranty is one year parts and labor. However, the manual that comes with the TV says the warranty is for 1 year parts and 90 days for labor. I hope it does not become an issue. The box also has the 1yr/90 days. The TV is very nice and has enough resolution to make a great computer monitor if I need that in the future. I maximized the bass and cut the treble down a bit to eliminate the "tinny" sound that is the default.

Great Little tv!
This is a great little tv perfect for the bedroom. After adjusting the picture, it looks amazing, for the size. I was able to get this TV for $129.99 on here thanks to Amazon's TV price match guarantee, and the shipping was amazing. I'm a Prime member but even I was impressed at how fast it took to get to my house. From order to delivery, was lest than 24 hours, and I chose 2 day shipping so two thumbs up to amazon for that. The only con, is that there is one stuck pixel that stays blue when the tv is on, but it's only a minor problem, not worth the hassle of returning though. All in all Great TV!
