If you play a lot of tennis and practice a lot, seriously consider getting a ball hopper like this. Why do you need one? Basically because it's a more efficient way to pick balls up off the ground and will save your back. How does it do this?Well, with the handles in the "up" position, the hopper is pretty close to the ground when you carry it, so all you have to do is set the thing down over a tennis ball. Since its got this neat little one-way trapdoor on its base, that lets balls in the cage but not out- whallah- you just picked up a ball without ever bending over!As you can tell, hoppers are great inventions, as I can't imagine trying to bend over and pick up 20 or 30 (or more) balls off the ground without one. Also, when the hopper is full of balls, you can fold the handles down into legs and use it as a stand to hold your balls while you practive serves and such. Sturdy and easy to put together (4 screws), its definitely a must if you're into tennis...

Tennis Doesn't Drop the Ball
After Cape Dory, I hadn't a clue where Tennis would go next- they could have easily wrote another beach pop album. The music market today is flooded with "beach bands", but everyone knows Brian Wilson did it best, so why bother anymore? However, Tennis resisted the urge go down the well trodden path to the shoreline, but they saved their beach sounds while heading in a new direction. Young & Old is a collection of thoughtful pop tunes, and the production is brilliant (bravo Patrick Carney). The vocals are warm and endearing, and although the guitar takes the backseat in the mix, it fits in nicely behind lead vox. Tennis delivered a smash here- can't wait to see their live set! Why are you still reading this? Go buy this album and then grab a lawn-chair and a Tom Collins (you know the rest).

This is a great album. I loved their first album, and this one sounds similar but it is poppier and a little more upbeat in general. Continues their signature sound but fleshes it out a subtle ways. It's kind of like old-school pop with a new spin. Her voice reminds me a little of Leigh Nash's.

Tennis, a duo consisting of the husband and wife team Patrick Riley (guitar, keyboards, production) and Alaina Moore (vocals, keyboards) issued a promising debut album in early 2011 "Cape Dory" and now only a year later comes their second album."Young and Old" (10 tracks; 33 min.) is no radical departure from the first album, and continues the sounds reminicent of lo-fi-sounding '50s pop, although the band now includes a drummer full-time (James Barone). It's hard to pinpoint highlights as such on this, as this collection needs to be heard in its entirety and this is not a "singles" band. Alaina Moore sounds as lovely as ever, and in the end this plays as throwback to yesteryear, with dreamy sounds abounding from start to finish.I have been playing this pretty much non-stop since getting this a few weeks ago. At 33 min., this clips by in no time and you'll just play it again and again. No, this isn't for everyone (and not for anyone into mainstream commercial...

When I first got the Unique Tennis Trainer, I was so excited to get out there and try it. It took me about one minute to get this thing in action, and the quality of it was great. You can play just by your self and get ralleys goin, or you can play with two people(which is way funner). The tennis trainer can be played anywhere or anytime, which is great when you go on trips or to your tennis buddies house. The best thing to do though when you get the trainer, is to fill it with sand insted of water, because it will sometimes move around. The only complaint that I had was the way that they put the string on the ball. There is a little piece of string on the ball and the string just goes into it, and then they just tied the string onto it. Well the ball would keep flying off because the string was tangled. The best thing that I did to resolve the problem was to get a hot glue gun and glue on and around the string. The other thing that I liked about the product was that it really does...

Excellent value
The first thing that comes to mind as a title for this product is "excellent value".Its price is cheaper than that of similar products but it does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it reliably and more importantly in a far easier way since it only needs a bit of water to have the necessary weight so as to make the base heavy enough for the ball to bounce back to you.The rubber band is long enough and looks strong enough to last for a long time.Completely satisfied with the product.

What happened to the spunk of the originals?
This album is pretty sweet. Totally awesome songs, only a few that are weak.I was totally pumped about this album after hearing their singles this summer. They were the best part of my summer soundtrack. This year's "The Sky was High." The songs were just so chill and poppin'. There was bit of punk and spunk in them. They were lively. Just like the summer.I was surprised that when I heard them on the album they were remixed in a way that took the punk and spunk out of the songs. It's like they lost all their energy. It was like when you buy that oldies album and you find out the songs aren't by the original artists. It's like they remixed them or re-recorded them to make them sound more "professional." Two songs in particular stood out to me. "Marathon" looses all it pop and brightness. It sounds like mud as compared to the single this summer. The vocals don't float above the music, but are bogged down below it. "Baltimore" also looses it's drum...

Better recording can be found.
I could not agree more with the reviews that talked about how sterile this cd is. They inspired me to look for the original recordings which I found cheaper at the Rough Trade shops website in London, where they sell the cd as put out by Carmen San Diego records. Heavier base and drums and edgier and Alaina Moore's voice blends in perfectly. The album holds your interest throughout, unlike the Fat Possum version which loses it's way halfway through and ends like a dated mid-70s album. Also the latter one shows up the weaknesses of Alaina's singing. The RT version also has a bonus cd of the first 4 singles which are rawer again. The plus of the FP cd is that 'Take me somewhere' and 'Bimini bay' are actually slightly better in that they have a late 50s, early 60s Shirelles type sound.
