Loving David by Gina Hummer
This book is fabulous. I started reading it Sunday and I absolutely cannot put it down. I'm on page 127 of 297 pages and I expect I'll be finishing it tonight. As a Southern California native I feel at home in these pages. For any non Californians you will get intimate detail into our area. In addition the love story is so unique and utterly intriguing. I'm only halfway through and already I feel so engrossed in the characters lives. I'm dying to peek at the back to see how it ends. I also needed a "cold shower" after one scene that I enjoyed so much I had to read twice. This book is filled with scenes such as that... This is a must buy for girls 18 to 108. The guys would get great tips by reading this also. I will be recommending this book to my girlfriends for our next book club meeting. My mom will be recieving this for Christmas.

Worth the read
After reading 50 shades (good- several "what the ****'s but I got over it- I get the hype) Beautiful Disaster (better- only on a few ?huh's?) I was ready for something different. Older woman/ younger man theme worried me at first, but then I was so engrossed with all the characters, the two main (Charlotte and David) and their friends ( I love Karen! so real and funny) that I found myself wanting to finish it as soon as possible. I was not expecting the explicit sex scenes, but I am not complaining. (after 50 Shades, nothing shocks me) The end... I hate spoilers so I wont continue but to say, Worth the read.

Seize The Day (!) and read "Girl Unmoored" for an original voice that will ring in your ears long after the last page. Apron Bramhall is an engaging, intrepid narrator who takes you along for a bumpy ride, selling cast offs out of an old red wagon, and gaining strength and inspiration from a guinea pig, a flower arranging prophet and Laura Ingalls Wilder. Apron's life is full of surprises -- good and bad -- but her worldview always give you hope and a smile, even if it's sometimes through tears.

Couldn't put this one down!
This is one of those rare books that when you are finished with it, you silently curse yourself for not having read it slower and savored it more. There isn't a character in it that won't make you laugh out loud at least once--and many will often--along the way; you just can't help yourself. The pace is fast and furiously funny and I found myself going back and re-reading paragraphs because there is humor to be mined in almost every sentence...even some of the sadder parts are bittersweet and touchingly funny. I loved this book and am grateful it came my way. I only hope another one will soon follow!
