This is a great book for an overview of buying and running a coin laundry. If you are thinking about getting into the business, like I am, it's a great first read. It's not in depth, but it has the breadth to give you a good feel for owning a coin laundry. Highly recommend it as a starter book.

Great Read
If you are looking to buy a laundromat, I highly suggest reading this book. The evaluation techniques alone could save you thousands. This book goes through common income and expenses and covers how to back into revenue from a water bill. It's a quick read too.

Great book, no association with auther or publisher
I recently became interested in the laundromat business. This was a newer book, with no reviews, but i gave it a shot...very satisfied, well thought out informative book. Author has some humor which is cool. I took about two pages of notes from the book that i intend to use in my business plan. Note i have spent 2-3 weeks of researching about business ideas, and this book seemed to just give me that extra little nugget i was looking for...A quick read and def worth the money...

A MUST HAVE!!
This book shows almost everything you need to know about starting a laundromat. I wish it was more in depth with insurance (machine repair and business insurance) but I still recommend that you buy this book if you are just starting out. This book personally gave me a reality check, and open my eyes to the nature of the business. When I was done reading it (1 day) I began to question if I really want to open laundromat (my answer is still yes) But if a book makes you think about your next big move, I suggest you read it (maybe 2x) I will read this book right before my purchase. This book is a little expensive, but if you are determined for financial freedom, it would be worth the investment! On another note, this book is better then "Start Your Own Coin-Operated Laundry"

Excellent information, but shouldn't have skimped on an editor
I was thoroughly impressed by Mr. Lombardi's simple, matter-of-fact manner in explaining the ins and outs of the coin laundry business. I would heartily recommend this book to someone getting started in the business, for it would allow one to avoid many of the mistakes the typical "go-it-alone" entrepreneur makes. Excellent analysis without the fluff. 120-odd pages and a very easy read. You could get through it in an hour, but it's meant to be used and considered as you read. The only thing I could find to complain about this book is the tremendous amount of spelling errors that any remotely competent editor would have picked up on and corrected, as they usually do for the thousands of spelling-impaired but talented authors out there. Most of these errors are the type that a word processing program won't pick up on: "verses" instead of "versus" (p. 10), "in vein" instead of "in vain" (p.11), etc. This seems a small point in the big picture, and it is, but it conveys a sense of...

Norman displays talent in one act
Being a huge Marsha Norman fan, I think that Third and Oak: The Laundromat sums up what this extraordinary playwright attempts to focus on in all of her theatrical works. That is to say, this one act is about the relationships between women and more specifically the relationships women have to themselves. I don't think it is too much to say that Alberta and Deedee are both coping with the ache of loneliness, both in relation to their men and to their self-esteem. Norman explores the issue with two women who are of two completely different worlds, both in age and class, who find themselves in dire need of the other's differences to make it through the wee hours of 3am.
