Way Better Than Expected!!! Get One!
I must have looked at the various projectors on Amazon a thousand times. I wanted one that I could use to watch movies, and use to play games with my PS3. I didn't want to spend a lot of money but all the projectors that said home theater were expensive starting at about $700 and the 1080p were starting higher than that. I kept seeing the rave reviews for this projector and the model below it (the cheaper one has no HDMI connection). However, I still did not like that this model was classified as a data projector for presentations not what I wanted. I kept thinking this was for a home setup not for a classroom or office, so the projector i need has to say it is for a home theater for home use. I reread the Amazon reviews again and I decided to go for it and get the View Sonic the one I really thought I wanted was the Optoma HD66...

Great decision. Great projector.
Before this one we bought the FAVI RIO 2 projector and in comparison that one was like a children's toy. You couldn't set it up right. The resolution was way off, color non existent, and you couldn't use it for anything except movies. Forget about computer presentations. The letters were blurry and muddy.To tell you the truth I was afraid we were not going to find a projector to suit our needs under a $1,000.None of those were a problem for the Viewsonic. Granted this review is after a very short period of time. If it changes I will update this. However, as of right now, this projector is as good, if not better than the one I have at work which probably cost more than a $1,000. That one is a VieSonic as well but much bigger.First of this projector is BRIGHT. You will have no problem displaying it in a room with light. Haven't tested it in a sun lit room yet though, but I would venture to guess that you wouldn't have a big issue...

Great product!
I bought this projector after much research with others. The quality and everything about this projector is great and it has all the inputs and outputs you need including hdmi in and audio out which I use for my computer and xbox 360 everyday. I have the screen set up to be about 7 feet wide and the image looks just as good as my TV! Would recommend this projector to anyone.

Big Bang for Little Buck
I've only had my ViewSonic PJD5123 one day, which is a little premature for reviewing, but with only one review posted, I thought another would be helpful. I actually made my purchase on that review's recommendation, since I could find no others.First, let me say that my purchase was largely price-driven. I figured I'd have to buy a used projector, but the low price Amazon charged was the hook that caused me to bite on this brand-new one. My second criterion was that it had to work with a Mac; it does! I did have to purchase an extra cable for my Macbook Pro unibody ($29.99 from Apple). I could have gotten a third party cable for much less (and may still do that for a backup), but the reviews on them were not as favorable as those on the Apple one.So I took the plunge, even paying an extra $4 (Amazon Prime) to have it delivered in two days. It arrived on time and I found everything in the box as advertised. The written documentation is worthless, but...

An economical solution
The ViewSonic PJD5123 Projector is an effective and economical solution for movie viewing and PowerPoint presentations. Projecting from 25' it creates a bright 8' wide image. I connect it to a laptop with Bose Companion 2 Series II computer speakers creating an exceptional audio video experience. I use a Logitech wireless mouse to control presentations. You may need a case for the projector and possibly a longer video cable than the 6' cable provided. I am completely satisfied with the quality and performance of the projector and would recommend it to anyone in the market.

AMAZING projector
After shopping around and purchasing a few "cheap" projectors I realized that I needed to bight the bullet and buy something a bit more expensive. I did a ton of research and for my price point of around $300 I found this projector. I was a bit skeptical as I have had no luck with projectors recently and was nervous about throwing down so much money. Rest assured, this projector is worth it! I wanted a nice affordable movie projector for backyard movie nights with friends. Trying to find one that provided a great picture along with being affordable is no easy task. But this model is fantastic. I can't get over how crisp the picture is. And we use nothing but a white sheet pinned between two hammok posts. Even in a room with mid day sun the picture is still bright and clear. The fan is not too loud and the controls are very easy to work. My only concern is that finding the right connection for my macbook 5,1 unibody has been a hassle. We connected it to a cheap dvd player and it...

Great Projector + Great Price = Great Replacement
My 50" Widescreen 1080i Rear Projection Television finally bit the dust. Since I recently purchased an LCD T.V. for another room, it was not an option to purchase another one here. I did a lot of research into projectors and decided to give this one a try. I found video's of this unit being played online as well as numerous reviews. The price is what caught my eye initially. After doing the research on some of the higher end models I could see that the replacement bulb on those models were extremely expensive. The great thing with this unit is they include one extra bulb. Additional bulbs are inexpensive compared to others. Also included are all the cables needed for hook up including an HDMI one. I thought with the extra bulb and all the cables needed it was a great overall value.I had medium expectations on the quality as I was unsure on what to really expect. Out of the box I plugged in a standard DVD player and projected onto a white wall. The picture was amazing...

Amazing Deal..Early Shipping..High Resolution
Buying this projector was one of the best deals I have ever gotten. High resolution even in a decent amount of light. 2000 lumens is the truth and keep in mind that is the same as a professional high quality projector. You can hook up cable television, rca component, and hdmi all at the same time. This is just like having an extremely light weight and mini big screen tv. I didnt expect this projector to be so advanced. Read every input just fine and even has a fast enough input speed to play all your video games. For this price you are buying a projector worth twice the amount. Also just as a plus I received it one day in advance of the earliest estimated delivery date. Another great thing is that it comes with every cable you need to go ahead and hook up all your electronics.

What you see in the picture may not be what you get. I ordered the other "Mini Sound Activation Laser Projector" that looks the same, but with different lights. It is not different lights. Get the cheaper one, because they are the same product.I kept both anyway, because they are suprisingly cool.

Near Perfect Universal Mount
This was my first every Projector installation and i chose this over numerous others because this mount seemed to have multiple axis caliberation options and i was right.The mount itself is nice and compact - good quality and very sturdy. I mounted Optoma HD20 - It took me a few mins to figure out how to align the base clamps to fit the 3 mounting holes under HD20 (Had to reverse one of the inner clamps) and it fit perfect.I think in the earlier reviews, where ever the reviewers have mentioned that assembly was required or it did not fit the projector right out of the box - well - its a universal mount, and YOU have to figure out how best to utilize it.All the bolts/hardware needed for my installation care right out of the box. After aligning and tightening the screws, there is no projector shift or movement. I rate this product 5 stars.

The mounting system comes with everything you need to assemble a complete mount in a single box. By using the included telescoping ceiling mask, this mount extends from the ceiling 16.9" to 25.6". How can I determine if this mount will fit my projector? Projectors may have 3, 4 or 5 threaded holes for ceiling mount. First make sure that the projector does not exceed the 44lb weight limit. Next, find out the maximal diagonal of the holes. It should not be over 12.5". In other words, if the distance of any 2 out of the 3, 4 or 5 holes is not more than 12.5", then the mount should fit fine. Application:I bought this for use with my Epson 8100 projector to be mounted to a 9 foot high ceiling in my basement.The good:The manufacturer/vendor takes care to ensure you have all of the required mounting hardware for any of the configurations which this piece can be used. Every screw, nut, bolt, washer, bushing, etc was accounted for in the pack.Although not needed for my application, it included a telescoping pole for vaulted ceiling mount. I should note, that even with this piece included it was still priced lower than others that did not include this option.The black color is ideal for blending in.The design of the mount makes it very versatile and adjustable. I appreciated that when I was mounting the projector. The design is such that it allows you to pivot the project at three separate points. Wow!
These little lights are awesome! Similar to the American DJ Micro Galaxian light. (I use both). These lights are a great secret weapon in a lighting setup. I set mine on my speakers or in the stand legs and point to the ceiling. They can really light up the room on their own. These are a steal of a deal for the price. With lasers though always keep them where they are not facing directly into your audience's eyes. Very cool lights. Even comes with a little tripod for floor setup. To get them to balance you must take the legs as far as they will go. It almost seemed like I was about to break the legs to get that little extra stretch but I did not and they stand up just fine.

Great party item
This is a fun item for any party. It is well worth the money. The light pattern is enjoyed by everyone.After my friends saw it in use they all had me order them one for their use (7). I have used it both indoor and outdoor.Outdoor at night it really lights up an area with a wonderful display of red and green color.

Decent with a couple of small problems
The display is very nice and will fill an entire room given enough distance. I received this at work and turned it on in a room 100 feet in length in the daytime and all the heads popped up from the cubes to see what was causing the weird display on the ceiling. Most people are impressed with the moving display. You can control the speed the dots move and make it sound activated which just strobes the entire display. The base unit itself does not feel cheap or of low quality - tight fit aluminum casing with solid buttons and quiet when in operation. Two complaints for the three star rating: First is the included stand - if this stand is used the unit will forever be falling over and at best be in an unstable condition. It is very cheap and should be thrown away immediately after opening the box before someone is tempted to use it. Luckily it is a standard sized tripod connector so one of those 5 dollar spider mounts from most department stores will work just...
