Product Description

Dismissed from the Army following a Court Martial for assaulting a senior officer, Michael Fielding is trying to make a new career as a Private Investigator. Although a willing and successful soldier from his teens, he is unprepared for life outside the army and finds civilian life bewildering.
Having no family or close friends he is self sufficient and ruthless and cannot bring himself to completely trust anyone.
A new client who Michael dislikes on meeting is murdered within hours of hiring Fielding and Michael, feeling responsible for dismissing the man's fears and dragging his feet as a result, embarks on the job he was hired to do even though his client is dead.
Michael is driven partly by a taunt from a Detective Inspector he secretly admires who sees Private Investigators as a nuisance and makes no secret of his disdain for Michael's new profession. Michael is determined to prove him wrong and uses his own mixture of detective work and violence to that end.
The first novel in a series, Killing Share is a fast paced thriller set in London and the South of England as Michael, with the help of his new assistant and old army contacts unravels the complex web of deception and fraud surrounding events leading to the death of his client. The stakes become higher as Michael uncovers more and more and he soon narrowly escapes death himself and realises that he must finish what he began to stay alive.
The novel climaxes with a dramatic turn of events which reveals to Michael a side of himself he was not previously aware of and sets the scene for the continuing series... Top to learn more

Great lesson
This book was a little short for my 7 year old, but she still loved it. I'm trying to transition her to books with less pictures and more words, so this was like a breath of fresh air for her since it was full of bright pictures and didn't have a lot of words. She loved the pictures and had fun reading the book. The story rhymes, so it is fun for kids to read. The moral of the story was great and the way it was written it is very simple for kids to understand and relate to the characters. We read this on our Toshiba Thrive and will probably read it many more times to come.

Great lesson and cute!
I found this story through Pixel of Ink. At first I was disappointed with the size of the pictures for a children's story. After reading the story and talking to my son about it, I love this story!! As a therapist and mother who has read thousands of children's books....this is no easy feat! I love this story and so does my son! When it comes to sharing...I say to my son..."Are you going to be like bear or are you going to share?". He always thinks about it for 1-2 seconds and then says...I'm going to share!!!!!!

My son enjoys this book for $1 you can't go wrong!
My 3.5 year old loves bears so I bought this to read to him before bed. He loves it. We read it at least 3-4 times a week, I definitely got my dollars worth out of this purchase! It teaches a good lesson on sharing which is something we are working on and at 3.5 he understands that the animals are sad when the bear doesn't share. So good for even younger children than the recommended age range.

Some of them may have thought GDXJ looked like a great bargain a couple of months ago when it was trading for around $30 a share, down from a high of $43 in 2011. Thereafter, it was “rinse and repeat”:  With GDXJ shares getting schmeissed yet again yesterday, we exited the options on the opening for 1. Not that the blighters who have been doing the selling couldn’t bludgeon bullion shares even lower before they relent. We have good news for you:  Using technical tools to tweak your timing and risk management, it’s possible to buy “crap” stocks all the way down without getting hurt if you’re early. It led us to buy June 40-42 calls spreads a couple of months ago when the stock was carving out a promising bottom.  And then we did it all over again, buying August 23 calls when the stock was hitting a new, targeted low at 22.   It is, but it is still the best way we’ve found to take the sting – and most of the risk – out of buying assets that look like bargains on paper but which are nevertheless continuing to get savaged on a regular basis, however unjustified. We told subscribers to hold off on buying, however, warning that the stock could eventually fall to $20 or even lower.  The buy at 23. With the stock steeply on the rise, we further advised subscribers to take partial profits to reduce position risk. Immediately thereafter, when SLW rallied as expected, we took sufficient partial profits to reduce the cost basis of our vertical bull spreads to zero. It was not to be, however, and when GDXJ fell anew, we recommended exiting the position, still profitable on paper, at 23.
