I'm worth it! Clarisonic is a skin's best friend.
I have been hearing such good things about the Clarisonic, I had to see for myself. I had researched, and people felt the Mia was easier to handle, more reasonably priced and worked just as well as the more expensive models.After a month of use, I can honestly state my skin is feeling like silk. One of the articles I read about the Clarisonic stated that the cleansing action allows your moisturizers to be better absorbed into the skin, since the gentle exfoliation unblocks the pores and gets down to the fresh, clean skin.I love the fact that the waterproof Mia goes into the shower, and I can have a luxurious facial spa treatment while my hair conditioner works. It's such a nice feeling that it's almost disappointing when the unit automatically goes off after 1 minute. smaller pores
First off, I didn't purchase my Mia from Amazon. I did my homework and checked all over and found the best deal ($119, shipping included) from Skinstore.com. I have been using the Mia for one month and NOT every single day. I obeyed the directions which told me to fully charge the little guy for 12 hrs. and I know this to be wise advice since you end up messing with battery life if you don't FULLY CHARGE the very first time. I have read on other sites that many women experienced the cystic-pimple breakouts after beginning this new regimen. Well, I did too! I get a pimple here and there once in a great while and they're usually POP-able and gone the next day. These suckers were the "6 ft. under" kind that irritate the heck outta you b/c there isn't a thing you can do about them! Very Pleased!
I've been using the MIA for about a week now and I already can't imagine being without it. I had seen the larger Clarisonic and thought it looked interesting, but couldn't quite see myself spending the money for it. Now I'm glad I didn't. The MIA is the perfect size for me and really simple to use. There is only one button to push. It activates the brush for one minute and that's it! I saw a difference the first time I used it and am continuing to see improvement. Pores look smaller and lines not so pronounced. And when I apply moisturizer right after using it seems to work better. It takes a relatively long time to recharge, but I think it's because the recharger is magnetic and doesn't actually plug into the unit. No problem really because if I want to use it before it's fully recharged I just disconnect it, use it, then reconnect the charger. Works very well, compact and space saving
I like the Mia for it's smaller size and portability. My sister has the Clarisonic Plus, but I am much more frugal than she is so I bought the Mia for the better price tag. There are some considerable differences between the 2 products, here are a few:1) One cycle runs for 1 minute then turns off on the Mia. You are able to set the cycle for the Plus for 1 or 2 minutes. Additionally, the Plus beeps when you are supposed to move to a different area of your face. You can always just run the cycle again on the Mia if it's not long enough though.2) The Mia is smaller, though the brushhead is the same diameter. The Mia is also much lighter than the Plus.3) The Mia has a powercord (attaches magnetically to the unit and is waterproof where it attaches), the Plus has a cradle.4) You cannot use the body brush with the Mia (biggest disadvantage for me, as I didn't realize this when I purchased it).All in all, if you are just...

Summary:My skin problems probably aren't going to be resolved by anything short of prescription medication, so all I expected from the Mia was thorough cleaning and maybe some help with blackheads. The Mia's more than met those expectations. Love it!
Have been using this for 2 weeks and my skin feels super clean and smooth! It's expensive, but I figure by using the brush, at least I no longer have to buy scrubbing creams to exfoliate. It could just be wishful thinking, but I'm convinced it's somehow erasing my laugh lines; will have to watch that over the longer term. And I have sensitive skin, but this is surprisingly gentle -- you don't really scrub your face with it... the sonic technology seems to do the work for you.The only downside is that the beep settings take a while to get used to (you have to set your preferences by setting the beep tones, sort of confusing -- why no real buttons?), not such a big deal once you get it set the way you plan to use it.Positives: Skin feels clean, smooth, and tingly; can use in shower; wrinkle remover?Negatives: ExpensiveOverall, great product.

So Far, So Good!
I purchased the Clarisonic after much frustration with my skin.. I am 34yrs old and my skin is prone to breakouts, and is very congested with small bumps under it, I am always using scrubs and peels in an attempt to bring the bumps to the surface, which has varying results.. often my skin becomes irritated from the scrubs and the result is pretty bad looking, uneven, bumpy skin. I have spent plenty of money over the years on various products that haven't really worked, and facials etc etc. I did use ProActiv - which helped with the acne but I find it just way too drying for prolonged use. Not to mention the hassle of ordering it. I also tried Retin-A prescribed by dermatologist on the bumps.. that sort of works, but it makes the skin irritated and peel and I cannot use it on a regular basis.So.. after reading many good reviews, I decided to give the Clarisonic a try. Awesome Customer Service
I purchased this item through Amazon but, from a different dealer. I started having problems with the unit when using the body brush within a couple of months of purchase. It would lose it's charge after about a minute, the body cycle is suppose to last 3 minutes. Finally, I just started using the facial brush exclusively, I get occasional cystic acne and the Clarisonic was doing a great job clearing it up and stopping the outbreaks. Alas, the unit charge kept depleting over time, within 9 months of purchase, after letting it charge for a week it would die within seconds of me pushing the power button. I am one of those people that never fills out the warranty card, so, I figured I was totally hosed and was stuck with a $200.00 paper weight. However, I took the chance and called Clarisonic's customer service, they asked me what the problem was, had me read the serial number off the unit, told me I had a two year warranty on the Plus model and shipped me the new one, asked me to mail...

ACNE PRONE: I have been struggling with adult acne since my early twenties. After years of glancing at the pricey Clarisonic products at the spa, I finally treat myself to what might be the most expensive washcloth ever produced.The Clarisonic Mia2 has oversized packaging complete with skin elasticity curve charts that explain little and before and after images of fluorescent makeup removed via Clarisonic or manual cleansing. Instructions indicate two speeds for a timed cleansing cycle of 60 seconds with three zones: forehead for 20 seconds, nose/chin for 20 seconds, then each cheek for 10 seconds. A cautionary tale
I purchased my Mia 2 a few months ago from an Ulta Beauty store. I had been vacillating between buying the cheaper Olay brush and the Mia and decided finally to go with the Mia. I am in my 30's and my skin is ok. I don't have many breakouts but I have some redness, periodic dryness, fine lines and uneven skin tone. I don't wear any makeup at all, so I started thinking that the Clairsonic might improve things for me a bit...brighten up my complexion, exfoliate, etc...I asked the saleslady about the difference between the Mia and Mia 2 and decided to just spend the little more for the MIa 2. Honestly, I don't really feel like extra cost was worth it in this case. The two speeds are barely distinguishable from each other. The timer is nice but I could certainly live without it. Clarisonic vs. Olay Pro-X - an excellent value!
I know you are wondering if a $28 item can compare at all to something that cost nearly ten times the price. The answer is YES! I have the Clarisonic Pro - which is the top of the line for their model, so before you spend the money on both, I'll do a side by side comparison for you. Mind you, I am VERY happy with my Clairsonic. Even knowing that this I am happy I made the purchase for both of them, since they are fairly different. Here's why:Size: The Olay Pro-X is about half the size of the Clarisonic. This is actually better in many ways. It is easier to hold, lightweight, it fits in my shower caddy easily without dropping, you can travel with it very easily. I think this is my favorite part about the differences. It also makes the brush head much smaller, which has a different effect. Of course, the motor is at least half the size as well, and this effects how this feels. I was looking for something like this but I didn't want to spend $200 on the other brand when I wasn't sure it would work. For $30 I can take a bit of a chance. I have been using this brush since Christmas Eve and I am amazed at how much better my skin looks. At 56, zits and clogged pores that just dodn't want to go away are pretty much on the mend. Imbedded black heads have disappeared. I wouldn't use this more than once a day because it tends to dry out my skin. Hydrate after you use this. In short, I'm really glad I bought this cleaning system. A little instruction about how often to change the brush head would be nice, but I can live without it.
