Worked like a charm!
There is an interesting story to go with why I had to buy these.I was out in the shop tapping a hole in my CNC machine for a coolant splash shield. The tap was going it nice and smooth, then all of a sudden the tap snapped off. Just the tip of the tap was sticking out, nothing really substantial to grab a hold of to back it out. Well after three hours of carefully drilling between the flutes of the tap and ever carefully enlarging the hole, I got the broken tap out. Well now I had this large and odd shaped hole to deal with. There were really only two options, drill and tap the hole to the next size larger, or get an insert to retain the same and correct size needed. The E-Z Lok insert was the clear choice!So I ordered a set of five stainless inserts (just in case I have to do it again). Installation was super easy, just drilled the hole to the correct size needed (in this case 27/64"), tapped it with my 1/2" - 13 tap, and screwed the E-Z Lok insert in. That...

E-Z LOK threaded inserts for metal provide an easy to use solution for repairing or reinforcing threaded holes in metal. Ideal for use in metals like aluminum and cast iron, E-Z LOK threaded inserts are screw machined out of solid steel for greater strength and superior pull out resistance.
