An essential tool
A couple of decades ago I was in an old-time hardware store in Washington, GA (my wife's uncle's store) and he sold me some Knipex Cobra pliers at his cost. They are fantastic pliers and I learned about the Knipex brand. About 10 years ago I purchased a Knipex pliers wrench to go along with the Cobra pliers. These two pliers go everywhere with me when I need to fix something. By the way, my wife is very adept mechanically and her favorite tools in the kitchen are the Cobra pliers, a Klein 10-in-1 screwdriver, and a machinist's bent scriber.These pliers wrench will let you grip small nuts on the order of 4 mm in size all the way up to 35 mm (1-3/8"). The key advantage is that they clamp to a bolt head much more securely than an adjustable wrench such as a Crescent wrench or monkey wrench.
