Really Good, for starters.
I've used these markers for a while now and they've been nice. They aren't the top of the line and they do tend to bleed but they are great for getting started. I would recommend them to anyone just starting out with markers.

Prismacolor delivers.
Thick juicy color laydown allows for beautifully vibrant artwork, great variety with this collection. Weather you're a fashion designer, interior designer, or just a hobby artist, this set delivers. Be sure to use marker paper to save the lifespan of the markers. Great set for beginners and you can usually find this set for 50% off which is great. The markers life span is pretty decent, I filled 3 sheets 11x17 with black marker for some rough sketches and it still has some juice left. You might want to add a greyscale set to this kit because it only comes with 20/50/70% greyscale of french/cool/warm greys. A fun set.

Prismacolor has ruined me on all other art supply brands.
These markers are absolutely wonderful! I've been a huge fan of Prismacolor colored pencils for years now so I decided I would try something a little different. I really can't use anything but Prismacolor products anymore because no other brand really stands up to their quality. All of the colors are brilliant and also *blend* with eachother instead of bleeding together or leaving you with an unfortunate brown-black. You can even blend totally conflicting colors (think pink and green) and still make out each color. As for colors that naturally blend, they look amazing. I do have a few very minor quips, however. The packaging is a bit cheap compared to the grand quality of the markers themselves and the markers don't want to stay in their individual grooves. Also, the color of the marker on the outside is normally a bit different than what the ink turns out being on paper. So, what I suggest is to take a piece of scrap paper and make a color catalogue (with the names of...

Very nice product
I love these markers! The only thing I don't like it the stand that is provided for them. You would think that for the money spent they could provide a nicer and more fitted way to store the markers. The stand is poorly made and the markers don't fit in it.

Love PrismaColor markers!
These Prisma color Markers are really great . . . worth the extra buck$. I require colors to be permanent & waterproof in the artwork that I do. Bic & Sharpie markers are handy to carry around on the go but you just cannot do better than Prisma Color. Each 2-ended marker offers several width options. Plenty of stock colors to choose from. Value-wise . . . this complete set is the best way to go.*** I don't care much for the rack. ***Personally, I just want the markers in a plastic/lucite box. I arrange them in rows by color families. Maybe offering the set of markers without the rack would keep the price down a bit for the buyer.Otherwise, as you can tell, they are my favorite markers.Thanks.

AWESOME!!!!
I'm studying Interior Design, and these markers are amazing. I only needed 75 different colors for my classes, but sprang for all of these due to the overall cost- and it's totally been worth it! My designs and drawings are much better looking than the others (hate to sound conceited), I'm not limited to colors, and all of the markers work perfectly. Definitely experiment with the different tips when you get them (there is bleeding), and make yourself a color chart so you know what they'll look like on paper.

Leading product for their market
The quality and superiority of these markers is indisputable. This box contains all of the colors they make, all the different warm and cool greys, the French greys, and a collection of metalics superior to some mica inks I use with pen nibs. The colors are well arranged and precise; each pen is labeled with a matching Pantone color code number, as well as RGB values for matching or reproducing screen colors.A note on the French greys: if you are going to scan and edit your renderings/drawing and reprint them, the French Greys scan EXTREMELY blue, and will look like various shades of violet when reproduced. I don't know why.

Fabulous for detail work
These four-size headed pens are fabulous for detail work on acrylic or oil paintings. I use them for portraits. The only thing you need to remember is to buy a larger set. I started with a 24 and a 48, because larger sets were out of stock. Today, I finally got a 144-color set and now I can hardly wait for the weekend to use them. The wider heads make what is almost like a water-color wash over large areas, while the fine point is wonderful for details.

If only they didn't fade
I was completely blown away by these pens when I first found them...the colours are vibrant and they blend beautifully - and they're just so pleasurable to use! BUT they fade really badly in sunlight. When I noticed that the lilac in one of my pictures was fading and turning pink I made a test sheet of all the colours I owned and left it in the sun, covering half of each colour with card so I would be able to see the difference. I was shocked by how much some of the colours faded in just a couple of weeks. By the time two or three months had passed all the colours except black had faded very obviously. I now feel I have no choice but to keep my prismacolor marker artwork in the dark, even though it's some of my best work!

A wonderful splurge
I recently bought the whole 156 marker set on a splurge, and I love them. I am not an artist and am just using these to color. The prices here are less than half of what you might pay retail though, so this is a good place to get more than what you might normally be able to afford.I took up coloring recently while recovering from an illness, and I was using Crayola and then another brand of markers. They dried out fast and didn't provide even coverage, and most of the markers did not have sharp tips. I heard these were good and tried a small pack from a store, and really liked these.These do not dry out in use (I've never left one uncapped, but while doing a large area, I've never had the amount of ink flowing from the marker diminish), they provide smooth, even coverage - enough so that you can't even see the edges overlap when it dries, and you can add a second layer for a deeper effect. Worth every cent.
I've been using Prismacolor markers since I was thirteen. My father gave me my first set- hand me downs he'd used in art school in the early nineties. In fact, some of those markers are still part of the set I use today, just as wet and clear and colorful as they were some fifteen-plus years ago. That should be your first hint as to the quality of these markers. You can tell Prismacolor takes their products very seriously, and I appreciate that as a customer.I use these markers for fine art, and have never once been disappointed. They saturate, layer and blend well, they are pigment-true, they don't fade, they last. I'm a fan for life.As for the smell, "fish and gasoline" isn't quite how I'd describe it. It's more of an "Everclear and hairspray". It's never bothered me and in fact, to this day it simply evokes good memories of being at my drawing table working on something awesome.

I have to agree with Marcus that these are one of, if not some of the best markers you will ever use. I myself use them for coloring graffiti pieces on paper; it really brings life to your project. Highly recommended if you have the money to spare.
