Exactly what we were looking for!
I have been searching for a tv stand for a while now. This met all of the criteria: fits a 42" flat screen, black, contemporary, not too bulky, and doors with glass (so the remotes will work on the cablebox and the blu-ray while keeping dust out). Of course I am always worried about purchasing furniture online but I just couldn't find anything anywhere, including IKEA, Target, on-line. My husband put this together in about an hour and he said the instructions are very thorough and IKEA-like (easy to follow). The quality gets an A+ especially for this price. Thanks for another great purchase Amazon!

Great little piece!
I don't normally write reviews, but this one just had to be done. First, let me tell you that I too searched Target, IKEA, etc. for a piece like this and couldn't find anything... plus IKEA took a lot of their tv stands off the market for some reason. I purchased this piece from a site that has free shipping on ezbuyfurniture.com. The site looks sketchy, but it is 100% legit. The package (~68 lbs.) arrived in exactly 5 business days.PROS:+I have a 46" Samsung LED tv and it looks great on this stand!+Inexpensive price, but furniture is surprisingly sturdy+Stand is relatively slim, but not too slim+top shelf meant for two side-by-side boxes (i.e. Blu-ray player on left, cable box on right) with large hole for cables.+someone on another site said this thing was very hard to put together, NOT TRUE! This piece was easy to put together, instructions were all pictures, wood labeled numerically, and hardware labeled alphabetically.+all you need...

Described dimensions are misleading
Another reviewer recommended checking dimensions of components to make sure they would fit. I thought that was good advice, so I did. My DVR is 14 inches deep and the description lists the depth dimension as 16 inches. Based on that, I ordered the cabinet.Turns out that 16 inch depth is the outside top surface of the cabinet, but the shelf the component sits on is only 12 inches. My DVR would not fit, so I cut a hole in the rear panel. Not really a big deal if you have the saw to make the cut.Other than that, this is a good cabinet. Not real wood, but I expected that. It is easy to assemble, and unlike some other cabinets reviewed here on Amazon, the directions are excellent.It was missing one small part, so I called the company for a replacement. Surprise!! I didn't get put into voice mail jail, the person I spoke with was helpful, and the part arrived in a few days.The only reason I didn't give it five stars were the misleading...
